My WILDs are blurry
When ever I WILD I get up from my bed and I usually can only use one eye (very weird), everything is all hazy and it's hard to concentrate. When I have natural lucid dreams they're usually vivid and I have a very wide view.
What am I doing wrong? I've tried staring at my hand to make out the textures, but I haven't tried rubbing them.

I had this at first, mainly because the room was dark when I tried to WILD - So all I did was willed the light on, or went outside in the dream! Worked for me :)

You might try to increase your vividness by confidently stating aloud "increase lucidity" or "clarity now".
You might also try touching things. By touching.. I mean really "feeling" them. Get into how they feel.. are they hot, cold, smooth, rough, etc. This also increases the vividness of the dream along with helping me remain in it longer.

I have had this EXACT experience when WILDing! I've opened my eyes countless times to dark and blurry scenes, yet they were still "vivid" in that I could tell what everything was... I think it's because your dream scenes are combining with what your REAL eyes are seeing... which is nothing! Hence the darkness.
Two things. One, let your dream scene materialize more. Don't be afraid to wait just a few seconds to let your subconscious get "more in control". This alone will make the dream clearer.
Second: If you can, try stepping through a portal of sorts. Willing the dream scene itself to "change" can be very difficult, but going somewhere else is a different matter! Go to a sunny park, or something else easy to imagine.

you could look at your hands or rub them togher. I would suggest making lighter in your room or just wait a little longer.

^^ as these people have stated, since it's a matter of dream control, you have to get creative. Such as going somewhere bright :D
