I've been trying WILD for a long time, but I haven't had full blown success. The only WILD-type induction I could do so far was DEILD.
If I work on my dream recall, I'll often have DILDs without even reality checking.
Finally, I believe attempting to WILD works similarly to MILD for me. Even withotu success, thinking of lucid dreaming through all that time manages to get me lucid often.
FILD and DILD are the only things that've worked for me so far. About 90% of my LD's are DILD's, and the rest are FILD's when I feel motivated enough to do them.
Here are previous threads about this very topic:

yeah but thats a poll with only a few techniques, this is just for you to say wich techniques on dreamviews works best for you, and please try not to post dild, mild, wild, or wbtb
What works best for some doesn't work as well for others. Just knowing what percent of the population does what technique helps no one. Make a productive thread. Someone made this same thread less than a week ago (as Clairity pointed out). Why repeat?
I suggest you try and make some correlations. What about asking what technique works best, and what VAK type they are? If you could find a strong correlation between technique type and something else, that'd help people find a good technique based off of something other than trial-and-error!
