Thread: weed smokers?

try running a search, but basically, yeah, weed supresses rem sleep which obviously isnt good for dreaming, on top of that it affects your memory which is bad for recall.
final note, dont smoke weed before bed if you can help it, at least that way youll stil remember some dreams. Usually if i toke before bed my sleep is way too deep to remember anything, plus it leaves you tired in the morning.

i know i have horible recall after smoking that day. nothing different than a sleeping pill though. gives you a nice deep sleep. unfortunatly all the lucids are in the rem section

I think there is no problem unless you have smoken it the day u try to be lucid. If u smoke today and try to be lucid there wouldnt be a problem.

On the old forum I used to run with a friend, we had several people who used to smoke weed. They claimed that it only effects short term memory, and even then it only lasts as long as you are smoking it.

Supposably it shouldn't effect any LC or even AP.

I agree, I am a career smoker and have no issues.

i wish people would stop posting stuff like this everywhere, some poeple may be lucky enough to make both work at the same time, however, cannabis is bad for lucid dreaming as it is supresses rem sleep and makes recall harder.
This is fact, the degree to which it hinders lucid dreaming can vary eprson to person but its still a fact.

Oh I'm not meaning to disagree, but I have regular long dreams lucid or not. It varies from person to person, and if you are already smoking it try stopping and see what happens. But me, I am quite happy with my results.
