I don't have any pain in my lucids, just regular dreams.
One time I tried to pick up a bus by using telekinesis, but it fell on top of me after about 20 feet :(
I don't remember it hurting though. So I guess I don't feel pain in dreams either...
Not much pain for me in lucids. The few times I've fallen were abrupt thumps toward a soft ground. But I still fear those horizontal "car crash" falls, even in lucids. Those are always the worst. Luckily, I have yet to have a car crash fall.
A some kind of animal bit me.. Well it didn't feel so bad. :P
when a nasty green insect bit my leg....arggh!!!
Hmmm,
I generally find pain in dreams to be much more dull and less intrusive then waking pain. Its usually more a dull ache. Still, there's been a few exceptions to that in my dreams.
One of the more memorable ones was when I was still experimenting with walking through walls. Only rather then try to walk through a wall I tried to walk through a glass door, and made the mistake of focussing far too much on the glass. The experience felt a little like being pierced by a thousand glass needles at once. Pretty sure I woke up at that point.
Never did let it stop me though. For some reason even pain in dreams is an interesting experience to me (unlike pain while awake! Perhaps it has to do with the fact that we know there's no real damage, hence no cause for alarm). Not something I'd repreat, but not something I'd let scare me into not trying again neither. These days I'm happily walking through windows, glass doors and walls all the time :)

i crashed a car in a lucid once. and it threw out my neck really bad.
as for recent lucids, i got poked with some thorns from a rose bush. Dumb thing.
Whether i feelpain in my lucids depends on how vivid the dream is, and mine are usually pretty vivid.
I had a painful feeling in my arm before... and when I held it up to a mirror (in my LD) there was nothing there past the elbow. :( Still didn't feel too concerned in my dream. When I woke up my arm was in an uncomfortable position which probably led to some bad cirrculation causing the pain or numbness to seep into my dream.
I jumped off a balcony, hoping to fly at the last second. It didn't work. Instead of pain, though, I felt a strange tingling sensation where my body struck the pavement.
I don't think I've ever felt pain in a lucid dream. I'm still a bit scared of potential pain, though. For instance, I had a little dream sequence not too long ago in which I was in space, looking at a planet. Its gravity slowly pulled me towards it, and I began accelerating faster and faster in its direction and I changed the dream scene because the imminent collision was looking ugly.
When I was about six I was afraid of my dreams and every time I became lucid I would do something to wake me up. Usually jumping off of tall buildings. The worst pain I felt was allowing myself to be eaten by tasmanian devils. In a non-lucid I had an old man crush my spine once. That was very painful.
In my recent lucid dream (turns out waking up at 5:00 and going back to sleep is a good technique but I can't remember what it was called) I was taking rapid seed/poison dart fire from evil plant creatures in my X-3 Space Shuttle's cargo bay. I couldn't tell if it was pain I was feeling or numbing of the shoulder area. (I don't like to let my thoughts harm myself) But then I just realized it was a dream, and set them all ablaze with a snap from my fingers. That'll teach them to mess with the S-man!
Not being able to lucid is the worst. Even though I was awake. :( Its sad.
The most I've felt in dreamland is a pressure. Never pain. That's cool though because you can worry even less about the consequences of what you do. :D
jumping off a pillar trying to fly and hitting the ground
I dont really tnd to feel pain whe i get hurt, just a bit of pressure on the point of impact or injury.
How exactly can one experience pleasure in their dreams but not pain? It doesn't make any sense.
That's a good question.
I don't remember feeling pain in any lucid dreams, though I've felt pressure and known I was under attack.
I think it might be just because I didn't WANT to experience pain.
A task I suggested a while back but wasn't able to accomplish myself brought interesting results. It was to walk through fire. Many reported that it was a painful thing to do. That was six months back or so - it would be worth digging back in the task forum for the reports.
I had a really vivid non-lucid one time in which I stumbled backward and skewered the base of my skull on a long metal spike. I felt what it was like to die in my dream. Weird! It felt like seering cold shooting through me.
Some world I was in had a sun that burned my skin - had to stick to the shadows. I was lucid but surpirsed at the vivid burning sensation of my skin
A slow death from bleeding out from several stab wounds. It was very scary and realistic.
Getting shot in the base of the back.
No idea why.
But it hurt.
Actual Physical: I was doing something, I forget what, running away from something, but I must have been borderline awake, because it made me stretch in my bed and I strained my calf muscle! Hurt like hell when I woke up
Dream Physical: I don't think anything or anyone has ever hurt me inside the lucid.
Emotional: being with someone, then having to wake knowing it was only a dream :(
Whenever I dream I am on a rollercoaster, the hills are REALLY STEEP, and the feeling is so intense that it feels like I'm going to throw up. These dreams usually turn into nightmares.:(
A burning feeling as I felt bullets entering my back
AND the one I HATE the most is the feeling of you not being able to breathe while drowning
Oh and I havent been shot in real life, so I really dont know if thats what it actually feels like..
I was fighting with Wolverine and that bird from the third X-Men Movie, and wolverine stabbed me thru the stomach with his claws. I then awoke.
I have never felt pain in my lucids. Only in my normal dreams. I guess it's cos i know nothing in my dreams can hurt me when im lucid.
I like how realistic lucid dreams can be, they even have pain.
my worst pain was when I was flying, well jumping around 8 feet, and I fell and hurt my ankle, only hurt for a few seconds though.
I've felt pain in lucid dreams.
THe worst that spring to mind at the moment was when I was lucid and exploring my house. A little girl showed up out of no where and tried to bite me but I fought her off. I continued on and a chihuahua was in my living room. The little flea bag lunged and latched onto my hand and it hurt. In another a bird bit my finger and for like a millionth of a second it stung like crazy then just went numb. It was an odd felling, could feel the beak in my flesh moving around but it didn't hurt.
I've died way too many times in my dreams to really count. XD
Its all part of my "Don't ruin the dream with too much control" thing
I've been sliced, lost limbs, been crushed, set on fire, shot, impaled....
The thing is, I just rewind back to before whatever occurred that caused me to die. I always prefer to live out dreams as if it were real life and find the really sneaky solutions to problems. Of course, often stuff doesn't work out.. But thats what time is for =)
Example: theres a guy with a gun trying to kill me. I've taken refuge behind an overturned table. Off to the side is a dead guy with a gun beside him. To get the gun I'd have to run out in the open for a while. I decide to risk it and leap out at full throttle. I get hit about 3 times before I make it across. Rewind to behind the table. I decide to lob something at him before running so to distract him. It works and I get over to the other side without being shot. Now I have a gun and he's doomed =)
For the pain aspect... It varies a whole lot. Sometimes I'm rendered incapable by a shot in the lag, sometimes I get one of my legs chopped off and keep on fighting.
Thats disturbing as hell :p
The worst thats happened to me was when a DC walked up to me and grabbed my, er... Manparts.
The pain was comparable to having someone putting them on a brick and slamming a sledge hammer to them over and over. It was easily the worst pain I've ever felt in my life.
A couple seconds later though (after I had gained my composure), I reached down and straight up tore his off... Then killed him
Ahhh yes...I will never forget. A few years back when I had the time to intensively experiment with LDs, I had the brilliant idea of testing out "pain realism" in LDs. For the sake of science.
I DILDed on a beach, deserted except for a small bush. I didn't want to drown or die of heatstroke, so I was trying to think of a way to test my pain. I'm just standing there when all of the sudden, out from the bushes, a white rabbit hops out and darts straight at me and chomps down HARD on my testicles.
...
The pain was indescribable. I learned my lesson right there, thanks to that little guy. LDs don't mess around.
I've had my skin melt off from a large thermo-nuclear bomb that went off in an LD YEARS ago. I even watched it melt off my flesh. It was gross, but morbidly fascinating at the same time.
I was shot!
It was a normal dream where I was running away from some policemen (yeah, I watched too much Prison Break the day before). I had an incredibly vivid sensation of fear and hopelessness. I was finally cornered, and I looked at one of them who had a gun pointed at me. I knew he was going to shoot, and I hoped it would be quick, but when he did shoot me, I was paralyzed and felt the most agonizing pain ever, for a long time.
I woke up with severe gastritis. :P
i got attacked by my friends cat in a lucid. He latched on the my arm and was biting and scratching me and it hurt for a few seconds until i finally flung him off my arm and he ran away. My arm was bleeding pretty bad in the dream too, but after the cat ran away i forgot about the gaping wound on my arm and it didnt hurt anymore.
I was standing on top of this... stool-like thing and I fell off and hit my head on the counter so hard I head a loud popping noise, and I felt this intense pain for a couple seconds. I think I passed out in my dream..o.O
Then I woke up (in the dream.) I sat up, and looked where I hit my head. There was blood all over the counter and the floor. I touched my head with my hand and I didn't feel any wound... So, I stood up and I got on the stool AGAIN and repeated the same scenario, except this time, I fell off and there was this sharp part on the edge of the counter and I think it killed me.
It changed to third-person view for like a second, then it all went black and I woke up. I felt my head and it was kinda sore. Then I realized I lurched up in my sleep and hit the end-post of my bed with my head (Woo! rhymes!). <_<
Never in my lucids do I feel unpleasent things..except perhaps fear for some reason, but in a normal dream...someone holding a freshly used frying pan to my back...nice guy huh?
ugg old boy friend started to punch me and beat me up till i could not move and i was on the ground and then he took a knife cut me in the middle of my waist all the way up to my neck worst nightmare i ever had.
I recently had a lucid dream where I tried to fix a seam on some clothing. This was a dream I had during an exhausting day at work, so I tried to avoid manipulating. I was holding several long, kinda thick needles, and suddenly, some of them pierced through my hand. It didn't hurt when they were in there, but I felt that I had to remove them. And dear God, it hurt to pull them out. I was really surprised about the pain, but I still removed the needles from my hand. Ow.
I got Tazer'd by this guy who kept calling me "MAGGOT". That is without a doubt, the worst pain i've felt.
once I had a dream about running in sewers, and somehow all the dc's decided we should commit collective suicide, by the knife, rather than being eaten by some strange creatures.
so I slowly pushed a feet-long Ramboknife through my heart, it even came out on the other side. ouch
Not in lucid, but once I got my head choppe off. I had a terrible neckpain several days after
And once I feel down onto this weird metal floor with holes in it. That hurt - in my dream. Kinda funny I think.
