Small Wild REM question

Okay, so last night I WBTB, but it didn't work... cause I got distracted. I was going to use Billy Bob's WBTB, but I suddenly decided to try and wild. So anyway, I getting pretty calm and slightly numb, and then some noise happened, I can't remember.

Anyway, I tried again right afterward... I started over... and I got numb really fast. My whole body was tingly and relaxed... and my eyes just started freaking out. They were twitching and moving and just forcing open my eyelids. I thought I read that it was a part of WILD, so I tried to ride it out... however, the computer in my room creaked really loudly all of a sudden and I totally snapped out of it.

So was I making some progress?

And also, people say in SP you can't move at all... and I feel like I could've moved, even though my eyes were freaking out. I can get completely numb, but I never feel like I can't move.

Nearly everything about lucid dreaming is different for all of us. Yes you probably entered sleep paralysis, and you were getting closer. some people cant move at all and some people can easily get out. When you try to wild your supposed to turn off anything that makes noise or could distract you. Hopefully next time you are prepared and successful.

haha thats funny...in the sense that its like i wrote that post coz i feel the exact same way when i try to wild. EXACTLY the same. i tried last nite and ended up stopping coz it was almost like my body was forcing me to open my eyes, well thats what it feels like anyways, you have to conciously keep them closed... it sucks but i guess with practice everything will be cool..

Cool. Do you also feel able to move during the eye movement? Its supposed to be part of SP, and so yeah... sugarglider said that some people are just able to move out of SP easily.

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Its hard to keep them closed...

Should we just let them open and freak out and ignore it? 'Cause if we concentrate on it, won't that stop us from finishing our wild?

Yeah I've been messing with wilds lately and sometimes when I get to the point I think I'm in sp, I really want to see if I can move, but I don't want to since I'd rather lucid dream! I know exactly how you feel. And as for the sounds, it seems when I'm in the transition state especially I hear these intense sounds, one time it sounded like some demonic voice (I couldn't tell what it was saying though). Also, just before and after that transition I thought I was hearing things like my roommate coming in and my phone ringing, but neither of them were true. I would suggest just trying to go along with the initial plan. I'm still trying to get some good lucid dreams and I'd much rather ride a bad lucid dream out than screw it all up by trying to move.

It sounds like you're getting somewhere, just keep trying!
