I think the idea in general has made me very excited and motivated me, and I think that in combination with the ani-bipolar medication I now am actually more motivated to do stuff, maybe it's my imagination but this is the first thing I got excited and motivated about in like 2 or 3 years :)
It has not helped me conquer any fears, however, it has instilled a sense of awe in me.
I constantly question this *reality* and wonder if I will be waking up from it soon. As far as I know, this is all a false awakening.
I pay MUCH more attention to the world around me than I did previously.
Yeah, LDing pretty much changes your attitude towards reality.
What was perceived and stable and unquestionable can be just a figment
of your imagination or a dream.
I often wander if it is all a dream or a trip that lasts a lifetime...
I used to have nightmares about tornadoes. Ever since I was about 8 years old. I dreamt about them SO often, I developed this kind of unnatural phobia about them. I say "unnatural" because I've never actually even seen one in real life. And I doubt I ever will.
Anyway, in one said nightmare (when I was about 9), I remember wondering if the tornado was real or just a dream? I finally convinced myself that I WAS dreaming it. That was my first LD. Ever since then, I've no longer been scared of tornadoes, rather, more fascinated by them. I still dream about them alot, and they've become a regular dream sign for me. Whenever I see one, I immediately think "Hmmm, another tornado...yup, I'm dreaming again."
