      How do I dream more?

      I have just recently read about lucid dreams and have been trying to have them for awhile, but I haven't had more than 2 dreams in the past two weeks. Are there ways to make yourself dream more often? I have heard stuff about going to bed hungry or full will make you dream more. I haven't had a chance to try these things, but I will try tonight. Does anybody have any tips?

      Welcome!

      There are all kinds of post here covering this, but the most common method seems to be setting an alarm clock to wake you up at regular intervals. When it wakes you up, lay there and remember everything you possible can, then grab your dream journal and write it down.

      You don't have to write a novel right then, just a few lines to help you remember so you can expand on it in the morning.

      I think you misunderstood. I meant that I have only had 2 dreams total in the past 2 weeks. I haven't had enough dreams to practice on. I have never had a lucid dream.

      Trust me my friend. You've dreamt. It sounds to me however, like you probably have shocking dream recall like EV said. I would suggest keeping a dream journal so that you can improve it and then move on to being able to lucid dream more often.
      These are the tears that I dream about...

      Now that you have told me that I am actually having dreams, I have recalled at least 2 dreams I had last night.

      I second that! Before I started keeping a journal, I thought I was only having like 1 or 2 dreams per night, at BEST! Come to find out I was having way more...I simply forgot them moments after waking. I think I read somewhere in the tutorials that you forget 50% of your dreams the moment you wake up. Then a few minutes later, you lose 90%. Or something like that. So I keep my journal and a pen at the corner of my bed so that I can at least write down that 50% right when I wake up. Now I can recall on average 5-7 dreams every night.

      [size=24]DREAM JOURNAL.

      Your answer. Period. Its just like excersizing...you gotta keep your recall in shape, and build it.
