Straight Back to Bed Method (90% Effective and Easier than WILD!)

I haven’t recorded every dream, nor the method used, thus far, but I’ve found this method so extremely useful (Its easy and has 90% effectiveness) that I’m forced to remind my fellow dreamers of it! However the credit for it does not go to me (unfortunately I cant remember the users name), but I’ve observed it long before reading about it. “The Straight Back to Bed” method. Simply set an alarm, preferably a watch, or some other such more quiet device, so that it doesn’t “shock” you into consciousness, to awake you anywhere from 3-5 hours before you usually wake up. If you’re a light sleeper and wake up with less sleep than most other, just make sure to complete at least 2 ˝ dream cycles. So long as you have conditioned your brain to store dreams, when you wake up hopefully you’ll remember having a blast with a very real lucid dream!
P.S. Has anyone else stumbled upon or used this method?

Its definatly [?] to become lucid, you dont need as much recall but I'm saying (as with any lucid method) you *should* have a fair amount of conditioning. Even as a beginning lucid dreamer I'm able to remember it ,however, because its a lucid dream.

So just to make sure i understand correctly...Set an alarm to go off 3-5 hours before you wake up, go back to sleep and in the morning you should remember a lucid?
Or do you mean that after you've woken from the alarm you should remember a lucid?
Sorry i'm not on the ball today.

I've heard of this before, somewhere else than this site, though. But I've seen it a little differently. If you do this at the right time, it will help you with dream recall because you will be waking up from a dream. Also, when you fall back asleep, you will enter a dream, making it easier to have a lucid dream (or even a WILD).

I mean that after you go back to sleep you will (Hopefully) remember a lucid.

Edit:Thanks Line for replying to the P.S.!

I prefer methods such as these because honestly I am too tired and grumpy to actually stay up for 30-60-90 minutes or whatever. Although it won't be "90% effective and easier than WILD" for everybody... there's a reason why the regular WBTBs are so popular.
