      Sleep Paralysis=blood circulation cutt off?

I've noticed these strange feelings once I wake up lately. When I wake up sometimes my arms feel very numb, like the blood circulation has been completely cut off and it usually take a couple of minutes to feel normal again. Does anyone know if this is sleep paralysis wearing off or is it just that it's possible that I'm sleeping on my arm so that the circulation does get off? If it is the latter, then what does it feel like when sleep paralysis is wearing off?

This is just you sleeping on your arm. I am betting you sleep on your stomach often and lay your head on your bicep; in the right position, this would cut off circulation. I have done it myself to.

Sleep paralysis does not cut off blood flow, it cuts of sensory perception (proprioception) from the major muscles of the body so that you will not sleepwalk or act out actions taken place during REM sleep.

O'nus's attempt at being a psychoanalyst: Nightowl, do you happen to like girls looks in their "am"? When they look relaxed and calm, rather than formal? You get along well with your mom, but not as much with your dad, right?

*Curious if he's close on anything*

Aye, I see. Thanks. I just wasn't sure

Yes to all. Wow, you're really good. Are you planning to be one? A psychoanalyst I mean. How the hell did you know that anyway?

I would hope to be in the field of psychoanalogy or any related field really..

Considering the psychoanalytical reasoning for sleeping on your stomach and taking a brief look at other posts of yours (just the way you present yourself) it's just my own intuition, I suppose.. that or maybe I am psychic?

Just some good guesses amongst a handful of them perhaps.

There's even more psychoanalytical assumptions derived from that about sexual preferances, but I'm sure you probably wouldn't want me guessing those, hm?
