      Nightmare-ish false awakenings..

I remember experiencing numerous false awakenings in a single night when I was little, and they've always been freaky. I'd be lying there in bed and some monster would roar outside of my door or someone would run up to me and start choking me.. lol I know it sounds ridiculous, but do any of you experience these kind of FAs or are they usually much more 'normal'?

I used to have several false awakenings in which I would come to and sit up.. rub my eyes.. and turn to look at the side of my bed to find a man who was slashed and bleeding profusely, feeling his face with his fingers with an expression of agony as he wailed in pain.

I would then realize it was a dream and go back to sleep, then have another false awakenings where something would happen such as.. I would get up, walk around, and I would constantly see this man in the corner of my eye, or I could feel him staring at me from behind me, but I could never focus on him; never get him in my direct eyesight.

Then I also had a few false awakenings with a recurring nightmare demon named Bloodshed in which I would "wake up" and find my nose bleeding which would make me look at my blood soaked pillow where his face would manifest and stare at me in a very ominous manner...

Scary.. although, a majority of my false-awakenings are just me walking around whereever I am living and finding pecuilar things missing or happening.. (Pictures missing, family members doing something odd like kissing a lamp, etc.)

Just because you feel like a jerk doesn't mean you have to act like one.

Yep. Me too. I'll wake up next to a bleeding man tonight, I just know it!

I've only had one false awakening that I can remember.

I got out of bed and started walking around when people suddenly appeared out of no where and started attacking everyone.

Yeah The strangling theme in false awakenings is very common, also seeing ghosts/imps/devils etc. There was a tv documentary on tv a few weeks ago about it.
I live to dream because I dream to live.

Really? Did the tv documentary state as the cause of false awakenings being so violent?
