The Origin of where Lucid Dreams come from?

not as to water down LDing cuz God knows I love it and see it as one of lifes perks, but could it all be the result of trauma endured from being human...

Think about those cryptic messages from DC'S and DG'S, I can decipher all of them and get a good outlook into the persons life on earth. Is it possible that LDing in an effect of unstable patterns in life and also cuz of drugs and alcohol, as well as stress....

If there weren't any trials and tribulations would we have LDing to begin with, or is this a way our minds cope with the disasters we some fall upon...

Where does LDing come from, do our dreams have clues and maps as pieces to the puzzle of the origin of LDing?...Is this the way we deal with stress?

You lucid dream FAR before you have experience with any sort of drug, alcohol, or stress. Animals also lucid dream. Example: ever seen a dog "run" in its sleep? A dog may be dreaming, and you'll see it's paws twitching -- that's the dog "running," but it can't full out run because it's in sleep paralysis.

The "cryptic" messages from DCs are just your subconscious talking to you, representing itself in human form, or it's a character you know/a character you stereotype and the things it says/things it does is just your mind reflecting your own beliefs on what that character would act like.

There's three main theories on why we dream. I can't exactly remember them, but it's like -- one is problem solving, two is re-organizing information, and the third is...i forgot :\

You must understand: a lucid dream is just a dream in which we recognize we're dreaming. A dream is based on the theories above. Freud also thought that dreaming was a way for us to sleep and concentrate on sleeping without being awoken from extrenal stimuli.

So i dunno what answer you're really looking for, but dreaming is a natural phenomenon. Lucid dreaming is a result of recognizing you're dreaming, which can be trained. The "mind coping with disaster" thing you stated is close, but that's not the primary role of dreaming.

I don't think so, lucid dreaming is basically the same as normal dreaming, you just have slightly higher awareness.

As far as I know,dogs do NOT lucid dream.They definitely dream,but they are 100% convinced that its real while they are dreaming.They don't know they are dreaming.

Lucid dreaming is an amazing phenomenom..It just shows the power of the brain,I suppose.
