Don't leave! You're hooked for life!:)
not now. someday. it's inevitable
yeah sure, you wont lose any ability to lucid dream I wouldn't have though. I mean think of the millions of people who lucid dream naturally without it. Hell I used tolucid dream all the time before this site - I find this place more a resource for sharing and gathering information
If you ever leave Dreamviews your lucid dreaming privileges will be revoked. Should you be found having a lucid dream, Dreamviews will take swift legal action and send its personal police force, comprised of DV Ninjas, to apprehend you. You will be bound by strict DV law and your sheer ability to have Lucid Dreams will be wiped from your mind. Finally, any found to be assisting you with Lucid Dreams outside Dreamviews limits will be shot.
Have a nice day, and Happy Dreaming!
i'm serious guys. since dreamviews i've been LDing more, so if i leave, is it common to LD less often?
Chances are its simply because you are reading about Lucid Dreaming and have it on your mind. Not to mention whatever tips, tricks and techniques you've picked up during your stay here. You've used Dreamviews to become more familiar and more experienced with Lucid Dreaming. You're not suddenly going to forget everything you learned from us just because you stop visiting. Theres nothing magical about a webpage, its simply that because you visit Dreamviews you're thinking about Lucid Dreaming, you've got it on the mind, and that you've picked up a few things.
However, the above still applies. :P
will i have fewer LDs when i leave? how can i maintain the regularity of my LDing with a reminder as powerful as Dream views?
Once again, its not as if your going to forget everything. That includes the idea of Lucid Dreaming. Thats also not to say you need a reminder to Lucid Dream. There are people who try to completely push it outta their heads and still Lucid Dream regularly.
You've got a dream journal correct? Perhaps reading that every night could be just as powerful a reminder. Once it becomes a habit though, you don't really need a reminder. Its just kinda there. I think even if you leave Dreamviews, the whole idea will stay with you for a long time.
thx :D
If you're like me, then:
When I lost interest in LDing - stopped reading about it, stopped keeping dream journals, and stopped trying little rituals to attain lucidity - I had far fewer lucid dreams. But I did not lose the ability completely. I continued to have LDs spontaneously maybe once every 2-3 months...not very often, but they did happen. Nightmares and sexuality were the most common triggers, though I don't think they were exclusive. And whenever I picked up the habit again after a long break from it, including this latest stretch, I've had them more often - average of maybe one a week, or two a week, or something like that.
I started having lucids again a couple days before I joined DV, when I was reading the Lucidity Institute site, starting to record my dreams again, and really wanting to have lucids.
So...anything that can maintain your interest in the subject and suggest goals and methods - another book or website, or perhaps your own imagination - would help in much the same way as Dreamviews is helping you now. As long as you didn't stop trying to have LDs and thinking about the subject, you'd probably still have lucids long after you left Dreamviews.
I'd recommend staying here anyway, though, because IMO, a lucid dreaming forum is an excellent way to maintain and feed an interest in the subject.
everytime I go on this site I have a Lucid Dream, all you have to do is read about other peoples lucid dream and you'll program your subconsious into having one after you read others experiences
The whole purpose for me of joining DV is that it pretty much gives me free LDs. I don't even need to post anything anymore, just coming to the site, reading the title and a few posts is enough to keep my mind on LDing at night, this place is magic :P.
Just browsing on this site got me my first LD about six months ago :)
