i remember in some of my dream where i smoke weed and i actually feel the weed high. it feels the exact same. (i have smoked weed before, lots of time actually, the last time i smoked weed was 2 weeks ago). and last night i remember in my dream i did shrooms and i actually had the beginning of the shrooms high. it was a pretty hard buzz but i wasn't halucinating. it was pretty cool. how does this happen?
This has happened to me several times actually, it feels none the less the same and it just amazing how it happens, i think your brain stores our "experience" using the drug and just replys them in dreamstate. It records our experiences like a video cam and then just takes that experience and uses it for something else in our dream to give us signs and meanings.
you say you had shrooms in a dream. did it react the same was as irl or not that you know of?
It's really amazing...it feels exactly the same. I also feel it for the first couple seconds after i wake up. A GREAT body buzz ;)
Just as Miracle said, the effect is stored in your memory, so you know what to expect. A dream's inerpreted as real life, so if you smoke weed in a dream, your brain expects you to get the feeling.
In dreams I've done pretty much every common drug. In my experience, only hallucinogenic effects are ever similar to a real drug's effect, though usually exaggerated, or just like being really, really drunk instead. Just as often though, I'll take a whole lot of a drug, or drink copious amounts of booze in a dream and feel nothing. Onset of effects always seems to be immediate too, which makes no sense for most things.
It's actually a dream sign when I take substances and they don't affect me normally.
I think that i had inhalated a fart-salvia or something, i had not tried salvia at this point but i hallusinated in the dream :P
I've never smoked weed in a dream. But Ive had dreams where I suddenly questioned why I was high, and couldnt remember smoking, and then realized I was dreaming.
I think the "dreamy" feeling of being lucid is a little similar to being high.
