If I go to sleep at midnight and lets say Im in REM at about 5:00am. Now lets say at 5:00 am when im in REM my alarm clock wakes me up.
Now lets say I fall back asleep. Do i go directly back into REM? Or do I have to go through the other stages of sleep al over again?
You should go into REM sooner at least. You wouldn't have to redo the first 5 hours of little REM periods that are far apart.

theres no doubt it would be much sooner, but even then do you have to go through the other steps

I'm not sure. When you WILD, you go directly into a dream, so that would be directly into REM. And WILDing is pretty much tricking your brain into thinking your body is asleep.
So my assumption with barely any backing and no scientific proof behind it is that you go into REM right after your brain recognizes that you are sleeping. But WILDing can take hours sometimes. :P
I don't know. When I think about it theres too many ifs and buts. :P

basically you spend less time in the 3rd and 4th stages as the night progresses.
Why is it that, if i sleep for only 30 minutes i can have super-vivid dreams? Or sleep for like 5-10 minutes and still have super-vivid dreams?
well, it takes an hour to descend, right?
So... by that graph, you're in a REM period for a hour?
