My friend LDs regularly, I can't!

As the title inplys, my friend who I told about Lucid Dreaming only once is having them constantly. He came up to me the other day and asked me how to make them stop. He was getting annoyed and I wanted to know why they kept happening to them.

First I was annoyed, "why does that happen to you!? And not me!?" Then I tried to talk him into just going with it, "there is no harm to it" I said to him. He didn't really care. He was just tierd of waking up in his dreams. lol

He told me later that it happend every night he drank. Which is weird, doesn't that normaly do the oposite? He said his friend who he was drinking with had the same thing happen to him.

WHY CAN'T I LUCID DREAM!?

Drinking breaks up your sleeping patterns, so I guess it could be because he was waking up in the middle of the night and WBTBing non intentionally.

Don't worry you can lucid dream, I was sceptical frustrated also at first.
What methods have you tried so far?
have you been keeping a dream journal?

have you been keeping a dream journal?

I dream Journal, as well as I can. I was doing really well for awile. And latly I havn't been remembering them as well. I'l lget back into it though. Just a swing of things.

I have tried WILDing, it seems to me the best and most affective way. It hasn't worked yet, the first few times I did it, I was TOO awake and eventualy gave up, it took far to long. And latly I am too relaxed and loose it. I drift too much. Short attention spand.

I RC regularly, I try to atleast. It just doesn't seem to produce anything, I never find myself doing it in my sleep. But I supose if I KEEP doing it, eventualy I will.

Patients I supose.... That's all I need.
I'm not really sceptical, just irritated that I havn't been able to yet. I would love to try this idea, venturing into my mind, without my body! It sounds amazing. Walking in my dreams. But I can't seem to grab onto it, it feels so far away....

November 28th: I also got up in the middle of the night for a glass of water.. went to the washroom... then went back to bed, and then I had my first and only lucid dream! I think either the drink of water or washroom break MUST have triggered that lucid dream because I never do those two things.

Lol, I don't think he was implying that his friend only drinks water every other day.
I think he may have ment alcohol. :P

The getting up in the night and going back to sleep, that's definatly possible that it helped. You should look into the WBTB method.

All that is good, i'm going through a dry spout also. It'll probobly come to you eventually, just keep doing what your doing. I suggest the WBTB method if you haven't looked into that already.
