I sometimes get that too. Doesn't really get anything out of it, they're short, and without much control and awareness.
Yeah, it's strange.
Same, I don't get as much control but still it's nice. Though, I find it always happens once I have a lucid dream I get about 4 more lucid dreams then I'm used to getting in a week. Sad thing is once it's stopped (the random massive amounts of LD) dream recall goes down. Sorry, but I don't have an answer for it either.
My wonderful advice to you. :D
How do you have a "semi-lucid" dream? You either are or your not. There is no in between.
For example, wanting to rub my hands at literally the last second of a dream. (I woke up straight after the dream ended)
Right, I misunderstood.
I simply don't understand how people can think there are degress of lucidity.
Yes. But there are many factors.
Starting from about a week ago; what has changed?
About: how/when/why you get up in the morning, etcetera ...
You got a girfriend, is my guess. Am I even close?
There ARE degrees of lucidity.
It's not just nonlucid or fully lucid, you can be conscious, and know that you're dreaming, but not remember to do the lucid task of the month. Then it would qualify as not fully lucid.
That happened to me last week. I had four LD's in 5 days... whereas I usually got one per week. But there wasn't much control or awareness.
Uhh ... there are degrees of lucidity ... you dont always think as clearly during some lucid dreams. But thats usually only for the very short ones (4-5 minutes or so).
For example, I've had a lucid dream which started out as a false awakening where I woke up and was brushing my teeth and realized I was in a bathroom that look nothing like mine. And then in my head I went "oh hey wait ... I think im dreaming" So I looked in the mirror at my reflection and noticed my reflection morphing... I had 14 fingers and they were way longer than they should have been.
Then I walked around my house and made conscious decisions .... I tried stuff like flying and passing through objects before I tried jumping out of the balcony because I thought it would be a safer way to go... But this whole time I didnt notice that the layout of my house was all messed up and that my mum was at home when she was supposed to be abroad.
So yes .... there can be varying degrees of lucidity. It all just depends on how clearly you are thinking during a lucid dream.
Being awake in this reality, you now read this.
Dreaming, can be done during deep and light ‘sleep’, when ‘half asleep’/‘half awake’ and even when fully ‘awake’.
When one are in a dream, knowing one really lie asleep in ones bed, but; are conscious and fully awake in the dream, one can feel like being in two (and more) realities at once, depending on the dreamscape(s)…
In a dream, dreaming and then awaking, one could recall it is a dream, when awake… But, be unconscious of that, when dreaming.
Recalling a lifetime, like one does here now, in a dream, parallel to the ‘one, one’ are living here, lets one recall either as the “most real reality” … If so one deems…
Dreaming; knowing one reality, one can know there also is the ‘one, one’ sleep in, and several others as well!
One can dream, and think that dream, is the only reality!
One can dream where one dream one are dreaming… Say; By dreaming that one go to bed, and sleep, and there slip in to a dream…
Lol Grod, there are level, or percentages, of consciousness during a dream. You migth actually know it is a dream but e.g. see a flying rabbit as the most normal thing. When dreaming, you are usually not at your full mental faculties.
Anyway I got this rush a bit of time ago.. was cool!
It made me think I suddenly turned into an expert, I thought I was cool. :(
Lol but were the dreams entertaining at least? That's of utmost importance, you see ;)
yes there are semi lucid dreams. For example the dream i had last night.
I dreamed i was in the back seat of a car with a gun. I decided that this wasnt reality, and decided to go on a killing rampage. this couldnt be called a lucid dream, because i didnt know i was dreaming. But i knew that my actions would not have any consequences because this wasnt reality.
that is what i call a semi lucid. You know its not reality, but you dont know that you are dreaming.
Yes! That is what I have all the time with closing my eyes, I don't actually know I'm dreaming but I still want to get myself out of 'There'.
There - My school playground with a tornado coming towards me. And there was the time when I closed my eyes trying to get out of a time were I was near a giant television and I heard a strange buzzing noise. The giant television was my actually my eye sight in the dream, this is why I think this was a waste of a change to become lucid.
