err. not sure which one is the binaural beat, the one that has music with a background to it ... or the white noise that induces theta/beta waves (for example)
I've been meaning to try the brainwave entrainment (BWGen, etc) - thats the second one I mentioned. But I've been putting it off for some reason :|
Apparently it works very well for some people, but not for others.
Keep in mind that it isn't necessarily going to give you lucid dreams (if thats what you're using it for) on a golden platter. You still have to work for them, it just makes things easier.
Let us know how it fares :D
A binaural beat is when you are wearing headphones and in each ear you hear a different frequency of a noise, and then your brain compensates by tuning it's own frequency to the difference of the 2 sounds. The background noise is there to apparantly help the person concentrate. I didn't really experiment with this too much because whenever I did, I would get a splitting headache.
Yep - thats also a form of brainwave entrainmentQuote:

Thanks for the feedback on trying it
[EDIT]
Seeker is a fan of this... dont you have any thoughts, dude?
ive tried it.. to some extent. Has not helped me really. I did get dizzy and weird feeling from one though.. it was made by the monroe institute. I have long since lost that CD i paid like 199.00 USD for it.. but it was worth it at the time i was heavy into wanting to astral project, but since have started work, 2 kids yadda yadda yadda.. BUT may buy the CDs again.
They not only give you the Binarial beat you need, but there is intructions as you listen that help you relax and meditate. These CDs are for astral projection however. Im sure they could help with WILDS(if there is a difference). The technique they use in juntion with normal relaxation methods is resinant tuning wher eyou hum with the beats .. and focus on the sounds and your breath.. works better than most CDs ive tried.
the adress.. the sounds cds use Hemisync as they are called at the monroe institute the set I purchased was the Gateway experience set.

I would like to ask(dont mean to hijack the thread) if anyone has used the NOVA DREAMER, and if so. Have you successfully used the lights as a dream sign?
dammit, this is definantly my topic, but I haven't been paying attention to the boards lately. You all beat me to it.
I liked it, go to bgen.com i think it is and get the brainwave generator. then do a google search for dream beats. you will have a vivid dream every night.
Evan
So does anyone have a direct link to this that I can download and put onto c.d? If so, thanks a ton!
Hey [b]Salamnder[b]... I searched on google for 'dream beats' and go barely anything relevant to the Bwgen. Maybe I didnt look into them properly....
oh and the website is www.bwgen.com
This sounds like too much. Sending wierd signals into the brain...people will do anything for an LD won't they.
Weird signals?! hahaha, no. All it is is one frequency in your left ear like 300 Hz and another in your right ear like 304 Hz. Then your brain just interprets it as 4Hz and may (or may not) follow that frequency. Its just a stimulous.Quote:

maybe you should try some other ways to search. Brainwave generator dream got me this thread and the next page was http://www.bwgen.com/presets/inx_sleep.htm I think it will be interesting :-P
Ohh not to sound cocky
Evan
Haha yeah I found that page as I was downloading Bwgen. It seems, though, that these crazy people just make any old preset and then claim that it will make you fly or whatever. Have a look in the Experimental/Weird section, I think there's about four presets claiming to make you feel like you've taken LSD!
