      Love in Dreams

I love getting deeply involved with DCs throughout my dreams, lucid or not. Once I discovered lucid dreaming I began to take that even further. However currently I've been wondering what would happen if I became romantically attached to a DC. My better judgment tells me not too, but I can't deny that I'm curious.

Has anyone else ever wondered about this?

Or am I just that messed up...

Not really wondered. Experienced. When it happens it's not in a lucid dream, hence I don't have much choice about it.

If you get seriously involved with a DC prepare to be forelorned and depressed when you wake up and the illusion bubble is gone. Though maybe you'd handle it better.

But you can always go back to her on your next lucid dream, can't you? Look at it this way, do you get sad when you have to go to sleep and leave the person you love in real life, so why should you be sad that you have to wake up and be away from your dream lover? In both cases, you'll see her again.
In dreams of unspeakable joy—of restored friendships; of revived embraces; of love which said it had never died; of faces that had vanished long ago, yet said with smiling lips that they knew nothing of the grave; of pardons implored, and granted with such bursting floods of love, that I was almost glad I had sinned—thus I passed through this wondrous twilight. —George MacDonald

Well, it's never really the same person, and you're sad because you know 100% that the girl isn't real and it's a futile effort.

Unless maybe the DC is based on someone you know from real life (especially if they've had a significant impact on your life) in which case they're likely to stay mostly the same from dream to dream.

I find it ironic that you're making up the person in your head, it seems kind of funny. I reccommend you try and "create" a new, different person each time, so you never are stuck on one. Then you'll be wanting to sleep all the time to chat with your dream lover .

Whose signature is it that says "Dreams are real while they last, can we say more of life?"

If it's a lucid dream, then it is very rewarding; remember that you know you are dreaming, so you just enjoy the time spent. If it is a non-lucid however, prepare for agony in the morning when waking up to this crappy world. Wish fulfillment is an important thing to get done first in lucid dreams; do not be afraid, just have fun.

I've found its best not to love.

Especially when you can't wake up.

This has happened to me in both a lucid and non lucid. I wouldn't recomend it. Very depressing, but the feeling goes away after a few days. But it could be good inspiration if you are trying to write a poem or something.

It's happened to me, i swear i knew them all my life.....yes more then 1, i'm a playa! Anyway i feel as if i have always knew them, and i don't want it to end....then i wake up and i'm depressed. All those emotions i felt in the dreams i had of women....all fake. The woman may not be real, but she feels real, she talks real, she makes me feel like she's real and that i'm some other man.
