I have heard that people who are colour blind have black and white dreams. I'm not sure about sound though.
And I think it is totally possible for a normal person to have those kinds of dreams, anything is possible really.
SapphireGem, below are some previous threads that deal with dreaming in black and white. :)

I've had a black and white dream before. Until then I never thought it was possible. It was like being in an old movie, complete with the old-fashioned outfits and architecture. Weird thing is, it started off as a dream in color.
I'm pretty sure I have color in dreams, but I don't exactly remember much color. If I do, it's dull. And for sound, I don't really hear anything, I just "think" what I'm hearing.
thankyou for your replies.
its facinating to hear what different people have to say!!!
Dreams early in your sleep cycles tend to be black and white since they are easier to render for the mind.
Sometimes I've had a sense of muffled sound, but never black and white dreams. That'd be cool!
ive never have a colour less or sound less dream. but if u do a way to fix it would be spin in a circle and say "colour" or "sound" or both and ur dreams will burst in to colour and u will have sound.
That's when you're lucid. It'd be nearly impossible to have a black and white lucid because of the timing of black and white dreams.
