Question on first lucid experience

So i woke up this morning at the end of a dream, wrote it down then closed my eyes again. I started having visualizations pretty fast but didnt think i could be asleep that fast and thought i was just daydreaming or something. But i was climbing a cliff and got to a trail high above the ground, picked some guy off and threw him off the cliff really far. I realized that i didnt want him to die and consciously made my arm get super long and stretchy and i grabbed him before he hit the ground and pulled him back up. The i started hiking with him and decided i wanted to be on this trail in Vermont that me and my bro hiked, and once we got over this ridge the scenery changed and i was there.
The question is---is this lucidity or no? Ive never attained it before. I didnt "realize i was dreaming" as most say but thought that i wasnt even asleep yet......

No, you weren't lucid, it was just a dream.

Next time you should have done a DILD or something, remember: you can fall asleep in seconds if you have just woken up.

Sorry, no you weren't lucid.

Lucid dreaming is the "awareness" that you are dreaming WHILE you're dreaming.

If you never said (or thought) to yourself, "I'm dreaming" and BELIEVED this statement/thought to be true, then you weren't lucid.

Also, lucidity has nothing to do with "control" (meaning that you can be in a lucid dream.. but still not be able to affect any changes).

Next time, to erase any doubt, do a "reality check". The reality check that has never failed me is the "plug my nose and see if I can breathe" reality check. It never hurts to do your favorite reality check a couple of times or even do two different ones.. just to really convince yourself!
