      False Awakenings

Is there any easy way to dream of a false awakening? The reason is false awakenings offer many reality checks and many ways to enter environments assuming that I wake up in my "house".

False awakenings rock. Sadly, there isn't a surefire method to induce them.

Sometimes they can be triggered by natural light entering the room (I experience more of them when I don't use a sleep mask).

Other times they occur just after lucidity sets in (the brain thinks that "Ah! We are becoming more logical! That must mean we are awake! So I better make it look like we're awake!").

Dreams are often a product of what we think about or do a few hours (or even days) before bed. Perhaps during a wake-back-to-bed period, you could practice the false awakening scenario a few times (with a ton of reality checks). If that doesn't produce a false awakening, at least it will help integrate all those reality checks into the dream!

Well i know a sure method to induce FAs, at least it works for me. Get lucid, that's all it takes. As soon as you think "oh yeah, finaly a lucid dream", guess what? FALSE AWAKENING! Of course i don't think that was exactly what you had in mind but still
You can always try autosuggestion, going to sleep and saying "i will have a FA tonight"

I'm wondering why you want to have a false awakening.

many people report that Lucid dream masks such as the Nova Dreamer or REM dreamer tend to induce false awakenings. They do for me.

Same here. Most of my lucid dream were in fact lucid false awakenings.

I have read my dream journal twice before I went to bed.

both of those nights I had a false awakening and became lucid

It wasn't a very good lucid dream because i faded out of both of them but I guess thats my fault for not rubbing my hands together
