No, Dr. Laberge showed that dream time is real time.
However, your dreams skip boring parts like a movie. I can't ever recalling walking anywhere, I just appear in the next scene.
It is possible to dilate time in a dream, meaning slow down your time. This means in real life it could take you a half hour to dream it, but it would feel like a day.
I agree with the scene-skipping thing... one minute I'm here, and then I'm somewhere else, no idea how I get there. And it does seem that you dream slower than you sleep, but usually it's not that big of a difference.
they made somebody do an eye movement in a dream count then do the movement again. But they only did it when they were not trying to dilate time.

That gives a little description about slowing down/stopping time during dreams, have to scroll down sort of far.
I've tried it a few times, I think for the most part I just tricked myself into thinking the dream was longer.
Eh, I'm not complaining.
In EWoLD he talks about an experiment that he did with his lucid dreamers. He recorded when they went lucid with his pre-determined eye movements, had them count out fifteen seconds and then give the signal again. They were weren't statistically off by any more than they would be in real life approximating time.
Scene skipping gives you more action, so it seems faster, but time as you know it is the same. Of course you can change this with lucidity.
I had some fun with my friends slept and woke up the next day in the same dream..... yeah they can be pretty long..... but maybe it just seems that way
I had a lucid dream a year or so ago after waking in the morning. I drifted off listening to the radio as it announced the upcoming artist. In the dream I heard this music throughout the entire dream. The dream itself seemed to last for about half an hour. I woke up at the conclusion of the musical piece as the DJ announced the composer and name of the music again.
I jotted it down in my dream journal and then went online to check the radio station play list to see how long that piece of music was. Turns out it was only about 3 or so minutes long and I couldn't believe it. The dream felt much longer than a few minutes.
Conclusion based on my personal experience:
My long lucid dream was, in reality, a short lucid dream.
Dream time and real time don't always sync up.
