      WILD With No BTB?

When falling asleep at night I can get past the point where I hear loud noises that are only in my head. I then get visuals that are vivid. For example before I went to bed I was watching Dragonball and I was clearly seeing Dragonball characters fight in my head. At this point it feels like my breathing is on automatic and I get a really strong feeling that I'm running out of breath and that I need to take over. I usually give up at this point.

My question is how do I reach the next level and what is the next level? This is without back-to-bed.

      Omg that avatar is crazy.

We don't usually recommend WILDing without WBTB simply because people don't normally fall into REM right at the beginning of the night. It takes a few hours for REM to begin, which is the stage of sleep where we dream.

But i suppose it gives us new monsters to fight.=P

You could try FILDing, which is sort of like WILDing without BTB, you have to wake up though, so maybe not.
      WILDs - 38
      MILD/DILDs - 44
      VILDs - 8
TILDs - 1 (Thirst Induced Lucid Dream, never going through that experience again...)
Total: 98 - So close to the big 100

I hear that some people can do that. I have been trying but to no avail

Just the picture I needed to see during a WBTB... hope that doesn't make its way into tonights dreams

I've gotten to the point where I hear noises and feel vibrations without WBTB, but only after having had some sleep have I ever successfully WILDed. Some people have done it but the general consensus is that it's always easier if you do WBTB + WILD.

You could do it in the morning, as then you have already been sleeping and you can slip back into the REM in seconds.

Very true. I have few dreams during the night but between my alarms (10 minute snooze) I can have a new dream each time.
