Weapon by choice in LDs

Hey what's up guys
Everytime I read someone's topic about how he killed a dream character,
It's almost always with a gun. Guns are fast to use. Click Pow.
But is it really fun?
So now let's just share new ways of killing dream characters.
Here's a short list of what you could do:

-Use a flame thrower
Burn people and watch them run and scream while you drink all the water from the oceans.

-Axe (What I used in my last LD)
Now that's real fun. Split backs, Cut Heads, etc.

-Poison
Maybe you could imagine some kind of poison that you put in a meal to give it to a random dream character that's friendly. It's reaction may be really funny.

-What are your ideas?

Come on, let your evil side take over for a while, it won't kill you!

I never give a friendly dreamcharacter anything mean. It feels wrong.

Wow, murdering people with an axe is hardcore, bro. You maybe wanna get your thinker checked out for that.

Why not tickle them to death with a big ole feather? Or you could jam a paperclip in the intensity dial on the orgasm ray and let 'em die of pleasure overload.

So far most of guns I summon dont work correctly. I think it's to prevent me from killing innocent DCs :D they either shoot BBs, or shoot strange, or there's no bullets :(

I tried lightsabers and swords, but never killed anyone with them.

Just punching or kicking bad guys matrix style is fun :D


Once I used sniper rifle to get rid of dream police :D bad thing they called in reinforcements :?

well what ive done in my last LD's is tapping them at their head with a small plastic piece (not even hard, just tapping) until they've pasted out and then i tap really hard and they die.... kinda wierd when i think about it....

I must say I've never killed anyone hands-on in a LD before, more a reflection on the piss poor quality of my LDs than any pacifist attitudes. I have shrunk people untill they no longer exist, and did make a car with people in dissapear once, but no actual killings.

killing them with an axe? that's kinda hardcore life...dont you think?

anyway i dont resort to weapons when killing people(I rarely kill dream characters unless they get in my way and do not heed my warnings)

I just use superpowers to kill them or get rid of them. example: telekinesis, power to shatter them, manipulation of light, etc., but this is very rare for me to do

if im just fighting them, then i just use suprior fighting skills and acrobatic moves against them. They usually cant keep and i could take on more than one at once.

I just eat them.

I was killing zombies with a crowbar once. Another time I was beating the shit out of a zombie with a chair, but he was ignoring me for some reason.

I had a dream once (not LD unfortunately) and this guy was fighting me. He was winning, but then I was winning and I kicked the crap out of him. After he was down I felt bad for him and went into the pool-house to get him some asprin.....This was several years ago.

Almost forgot - once I had a dream version of AK-74. It was so cool, that will be my weapon of choice :D

I to have never used violence in a LD. Ont he other hand I have used swords in my regular dreams on many occasion. But the weapon of choice would have to be a Howetzer Cannon :wink: :!:

Try a chainsaw. I did that. Blood spraying all over the place! :evil: Or a buzzsaw. Or if you can't get your hands on anything like that just use your hands! Jabbing your fingers into another dream character's body and ripping them to shreds with your bare hands! Can you feel the beast in you? :mad:

Personally I prefer improvised weapons . . . :roll:

For me nothing beats good old fashioned shape shifting into a beast for some hands on shredding.

Hey Life, how about hacking away at your victim with an ice pick! :D

i use a sword.... hack hack hack.... or maybe i just go for the head :D as its tumblin off i laugh....

I would be drizzt, dual scimitars, superior fighting skills (I would also throw in magic user and be like a level 15 fighter/magic using drow, as soon as I get LDs dont better, I am soooo going to be in the battle for rohan and helms deep 8)

I'd much rather do the final Neo/Smith fight.

Why would you want to kill anyone in a dream? by definition everyone you come across in your dream is an aspect of your own sub-conscious...killing them is not a very healthy way to deal with them even if they appear to be obstructing you. One of the most effective ways to deal with an obstructive dream character is to embrace them or merely project feelings of love towards them and invariably they will disappear or transmute in to something good. This may sound a bit airy fairy to those of you who want to kill people in your dreams and believe me I am not some hippy and advocate of the peace, but particularly in your lucid dreams you need to be aware that harming dream characters is ultimately on some level harming yourself!

yeah, it works too. and it works well in some cases...
But there are some dream characters who are there just to annoy you :| suckers really want to have their ass kicked.

well, maybe after some practice I'll move to talking instead of kicking ass :D

Kicking ass is fun, sometimes I see kids walking around and I break their legs.

There are also dream characters that seem intent on killing me in my dreams for some reason. OUT OF SELF DEFENSE, I tend to mentally "conjure" swords or other flying or floating blades which I then control telekinetically kinda like a combination of Magneto and Jean Grey (X-men). I normally only attempt this when I feel physically harmed or threatened, otherwise there are many more ways to spend LD time -specifically "enjoying" and creating instead of fighting, destroying, and wreaking havoc...

I don't intentionally try to kill any dream characters. On occassion within a lucid dream I have set fire to someone, and I remember making one guy's head and eyes bulge by willing it to happen, but I think that was more in need than anything else.

I had one dream where I was being chased by virtually every one in the dream. It started with some sort of unseen monster chasing people through the streets, but as the monster caught people up, they became chasers as well, until I was the only one at the front being chased by everyone else, and I felt that at some point soon I would become a chaser as well. It was at that point that I ran into a shop and was cornered by some chasers who had entered the shop from a door on the other side of the room. It then dawned on me that I was dreaming, and I stopped running and turned to look at everyone surrouding me. They all stopped as well and stood staring back at me. I then used the 'force' I guess to make them all go flying across the room.

So no physical weapons in my case. If I feel I need to escape from someone, I use my mind to make something happen.

I've never had a lucid dream where I've had to defend mysef. However if I did I'd probably prefer energy beams. Not being corny like DBZ or anything. :?
