Does this ever happen to you?

Lately i've been trying to abstain from masturbation and i find that every time i masturbate after not doing it for a long time i almost always have a wet dream the next night. The dreams also have elements of lucidity to them as well, i don't do any reality checks and i never say to myself "this is a dream" but my subconscious seems to know it's a dream because i do things i wouldn't do in my normal dreams where i behave as i would in real life.

Does this happen to anyone else or am i just really weird?

Other than in a form of a fast to God I don't see a reason to abstain from masturbation. It's a human thing. Nothing wrong from a religious standpoint. Not Christian anyway, despite what pastors might tell you. Abstaining just makes you lust all the more.

Anyway, hasn't happened to me, even when I abstained for weeks on end because I thought it was dirty and all that crap. Wet dreams are natural within puberty.

I once heard that masturbation can negatively affect dream recall. I don't know if that was true though.

      (That's barely on-topic, lol)

i find that if i don't jack off for a while and then i do I usually wake up with morning wood. I've only recently been keeping a dream journal so I can't recall what my dream prior to waking was.

The reason i am not jerking off has nothing to do with religion.

      1) I'm a bodybuilder and the less you masturbate the more testosterone you build up, and the more testosterone you have in your system the easier it is to build muscle.

      2) I've found that jerking off is bad for my skin, the more i do it the more acne i seem to get.

      3) As a challenge to see how strong my will-power is.

      4) To see if there is any truth to the rumor that the longer you go without relieving yourself the more likely you are to have a wet dream (although, in my case it seems the opposite is true).
