In my last lucid i tried calling my sub-concious, but nothing happened.
I have always been a bit weary at talking to my sub concious, cause i just don't know if it would be a random DC that i have just made smarter.
Any thoughts?

Im not sure about subconsciouses. I have one but I rarely talk to it because it never reminds me of anything and it never helps me become lucid... so I don't see the use in talking to it (even though I do sometimes...).
I don't think the subconscious is anything to be afraid of.
I look on my subconscious as my friend.. someone who knows me better than I know myself. I often talk to my subconscious when I want to WILD, wake up after every dream, etc.. (not that it's guaranteed to always answer/help me). ;)
I looked for my subconscious in a lucid dream, which came from a WILD but failed. After waking up I was wondering why I hadn’t found it. I sort of felt that I didn’t want my subconscious to be a random dream character because I would never really know if it was really my subconscious...I don’t know, maybe I’m over thinking it. Maybe all DC’s are you’re subconscious.
I feel that when you are in a dream you are talking to your subconscious. :)
Isn't the subconscious creates dreams so in a dream it's all around you.
a little off topic, but clairity and howie, what do the 4 stars under you names mean?

Fear us we are superior to you little maggots :P
The subconsious (real term "unconscious") is the part in the back of your head that does things that you aren't aware of, it usually comes out and reveals itself to you when you sleep and/or stutter words, such as Freudian slips i.e. "a breast of fresh air" :P
I don't actually know if you can physically call it to you in a dream, it could just be a normal dream character.
And to become like a dream guide or a mod do i like have to be on the forum for a certain amout of time?
got ya
was just curious on how it works.
I have to disagree with NeAvO on this one. :)
There is nothing wrong with asking Jerad. Most members who have been around the Dream-views community for a considerable amount of time, more over a consistent amount. Generally helpful to others and with and obvious will to help the Forum. ;)
Also IMO unconscious is lack of conscious action impart. As you are unconscious your (sub)conscious may still be reacting. however your conscious mind is not in action. That cannot be said while lucid dreaming for example. You are unconscious (if that is what you want to call it) however at the same time you are also conscious. So this has always been a conundrum. The conscious conundrum.
humans have long sought to pinpoint consciousness. It is ever illusive. As a streaming line of consciousness up until it ends, death. Perhaps it goes on from there. That is further pushing the envelope.
At any rate, to me and many others the subconscious is thought to be a branch of the conscious mind. Working both during a conscious state and a sleeping AND unconscious state. Possibly resulting in so many subtle things in our lives we would otherwise call happenstance.
I HAVE called upon my subconscious in dreams many times. That is one of my most prevalent action as I lucid dream. I cannot prove this is the subconscious I am mingling with. I do know that by asking my subconscious directly in a dream that it has been enlightening in many ways. It is very abstract and can unfold some very strong bold and uncommon answers.
The subconscious at work in your waking mind may be as you mediate, play music, art, function on any level different that you would normally at a daily conscious level.
Now that is a lot of opinion. :D
Through years of my studies of the subconscious and conscious minds couples with the experiences I have dabbled into has led me to believe what I have. That could change tomorrow.

Thanks for the answer. Starting to understand better.
I guess all of your DC's are controlled by your subconcious. right?
They are mostly manifested by the subconscious in the dream I think.
But if you are not Lucid then dream characters carry out the dream with out interference from your decisions. If you are lucid then you - your conscious actions and decisions now can control the Dream characters.
Your waking decisions most likely do play a role with who and what your DCs are and do before a dream ever takes place.
There are a lot of if ands and buts in there. ;)
