We should be thankfull for the time, people here spend when creating techniques and tutorials to aid us in our quest for lucidity. Still. To write a superb technique lots must be taken into consideration. Goal of this thread is to find, what you value most about the techniques you already readed, and what do you miss often in this techniques. So let me repeat in more readable form:

• If you would read technique or tutorial right now, what should it be like to make you feel its a perfect work?

To make it clearer. This question is about your wishes, about the plusses the technique should have.

• What do you miss about techniques you readed till now?

This question is about the state of techniques as is now. What makes you desperate. What informations do you miss often? ...

Let me start:

1. About the first question. For me. A perfect technique would begin with short description of writers abilities {so I know if i am compatible}. Then it would like to read short story about how writer achieved his first results with his technique {so I know, if it was by accident or if it was induced first time}, then he should continue with technique itself {so I know, whats the process like} and would end it with FAQ {some tutorials already contain this}
2. Second question: I find tutorials to be torn from context. You know. You start reading and one question inmediatly falls into your mind. Whats his skill. Can i actually perform the skill? Do I have the ability? Some tutorials have the introduction, but most of the techniques are based on experience we dont have, and should inform us more about the background work. About the preparations and so.... :D

Please move on. It could be an interesting discussion and could help people to write better tutorials.

The author should have had lucid dream yielding results at least 10 times with his or her technique before I'd call it reputable.

Thanx for this response. BUt would be fine, if you answered both of the questions. Not becouse it is a must, but one of the questions is positive and one pretty negative. And answering both of them makes the answer balanced. :D. Thx for now.

when i read a tutorial everything is much easier to read when its in catigories,tells you simple instructions and then expands on each step. this is why i love billybobs tutorials
