Only Having Weak Lucids?
Hey, since I joined this forum I've been trying at Lucid Dreaming, and whenever I manage to have a lucid dream, its always really weak. If you don't know what I mean, the stability is very low (I'm always lightly sleeping) and I can usually see my ceiling and the dream at the same time, and it doesn't feel like much of a dream but more like a strong train of thought. Whenever I have really vivid dreams I never go lucid and I've always got a full vision view of my dream. Anyone have a similar problem? Anyone have any ideas to get around this? Thanks.

Try rubbing your hands together or spinning around (During the dream) ... Doing those will help in stabilizing your dream... I've had many lucid dreams but all of them have been terrible so far...

I've tried the spinning before but it only works if I'm trying to stop a dream from ending. Will try rubbing my palms together though, tonight if the opportunity arrises. Thanks.
Anyone else have any "stabilizers"? Is there a thread on this forum with a list maybe? Couldn't find one with search.

Conquer I know how you feel, but that happens to me for normal dreams and not lucids. How are you trying to get lucid?

Method? I'm using VILD. But when I have a DILD I get the same results :(
Edit: Sounds rather unfortunate that it happens to you in both normal and lucid dreams!

No, it doesn't happen in my lucids. I can usually only do WILD so the barrier between being awake and in a dream is very very distinct.
BUT, if trying to fall asleep and I can't, I'll get that same "deep train of thought" feeling for regular, non-lucid dreams (I do not fall asleep easily). Happened this morning, think I had too much sugar before I went back to bed :?
In other words, I sometimes experience the opposite, so I know how you feel.
Anyways as long as you're getting there, just keep at it. :P

try yelling "clarity!" and expect everything to clear up. i was amazed the first time i did this.

One that has worked well for me a few times is to inspect your hands. And don't just gawk at them, I mean really inspect them. Look at all the little wrinkles and pores, really let the detail soak in. For me the effect has been that when I look back up from my hands, it looks like someone turned up the resolution on the dream. One time it was so vivid it almost seemed more real than real.

Alright, thanks for the advice everyone. Will try them soon as I have an opportunity. Couldn't acheive lucidity last night.
