The word Yoga comes from the Sanskrit word yug, which means "union." So the ancient and universal knowledge of Dream Yoga teaches us how to unite our consciousness with God through dreams, by awakening our consciousness in the astral realm. To be aware in the astral planes is the greatest freedom man can know in this state we are not only free from the prison we know as the physical body but also from the rules of the physical universe.
And (Jesus) said unto them, "Why sleep ye? Rise (observe yourself) and pray (in Self-remembering), lest ye enter into temptation." - Luke 22:46
The first thing a lucid dreamer is forced to except is that the astral planes are just as "real" and detailed as the physical world and that we cannot tell the difference unless we bring awareness to the present moment and question the nature of the world we are experiencing constantly if we do not do this while awake how can we expect to become aware in the astral planes? Every "dream" that we have ever had we were completely convinced it was the real world we see things that could never happen in the real world but we dont question it because we are all so damned convinced that we can tell the difference between the astral realm and the physical when this is so obviously not the case.
Do not pursue the past. Do not lose yourself in the future. The past no longer is. The future has not yet come. Look deeply at life as it is. In the very here and now, the practitioner dwells in stability and freedom. We must be diligent today. To wait until tomorrow is too late. Death comes unexpectedly. How can we bargain with it? The sage calls a person who knows how to dwell in mindfulness night and day, one who knows the better way to live.”

The reason we sleep in the dream world is because we are asleep in this world which brings me to the question are you awake right now? Your answer is im sure "yes im awake" but that is your answer all the time which we can so clearly see in our dreams is not the case you are not awake you walk around in your delusion that your perception is not flawed this is the greatest mistake we can make and keeps us ignorant of our true nature and keeps us asleep in the dream of Existence.

The practice of the dream yogas of tibet and of the gnostics is bringing awarness to the present moment. We constantly live in the past thinking of memories and in the future thinking of what is going to happen rarely is it that we are in the present. It is very simple just bring your awareness to your breath, sense of self, current surroundings, ect constantly. When we have cultivated awarness in all planes of existence and know our true self then we are truly awake.
Hey! Now when the dream between dawns upon me, I will give up corpselike sleeping in delusion, and mindfully enter unwavering the experience of reality. Concious of dreaming, I will enjoy the changes as clear light.
