should i sleep longer for increased chance of having a LD?
School nights - 4-5 hrs.
Weekends - 9-11 hrs.
Kinda Unhealthy. :/
I probably average about eight hours a night. Some nights I will sleep up to ten hours, and other days I will sleep for six or so hours, go to school for an hour then come back and nap for a few more.
I sleep forever.
Go to bed NEVER later than 9:00, and I get up at 6:30.
Generally I'm asleep by 8:00 or so.
My girlfriend says I'm an old man in disguise,
I think shes right.
MAJOR EDIT:I just realized its 9:10, its spring break though, I'll live on the wild side.
This is difficult for me to answer. I usually sleep about 6-7 hours on a weekday. I feel like I can sleep for an entire weekend, but I force myself to get up after 12 hours or something. Actually, my weekends have been more like my weekdays nowadays in terms of amount of sleep. Now I'm confusing myself.
I love to sleep! :cookiemonster:
Oh right, in reply to your original question.. you shouldn't need more than 9 hours to have LDs. I typically LD after about 4 or 5 hours of sleep. In fact, for me personally, sleeping more than about 7 hours decreases the chances of me remembering any dreams.
School nights - 6 to 7
Weekends - 10 to... more then 12
Very bad and unregular. It's all because of this dumb school! It desturbs my LDs. NO SCHOOOLLL!!! :D
I sleep around 6-7 hours on weekdays and about 8-10 hours on weekends. I'm going to start trying to get more sleep on weekdays. I think that 9 hours of sleep is definitely enough to lucid dream successfully :).
Well it depends on when I fall asleep, usualy happens anywhere from 11:00pm-11:30pm if I'm lucky, I tend to stay up and think alot. I wake up at 6:30 so I'd say about 7 hours of sleep on weekdays, on weekends I usualy fall asleep at 1:30am and wake up at 11:30am most commonly, so 10 hours of sleep. Although I'm going to begin trying to go to sleep one hour earlier, not because of this thread, it was a personal choice I made over this weekend. Though I'm worried it might cut into my WILD training.
School Nights- 9:00-7:00
Weekends: 10:00/10:30-10:00
Yea I am lazy on weekends.
Much less then I should. Under 7 hours on school days and if I have work on weekends, usually about 6.
I like to get at least eight hours on school nights (some special occasions merit less sleep), so usually I'm asleep by 11:30-12 and get up at 7:45, or 8:10 on Fridays.
Weekends I don't usually get much sleep either because of work. In fact I probably get less depending on what I do the night before. I find usually when I get less sleep my dreams are more vivid, although I have less (meaning that my recall isn't all muddled by numerous dreams).
My girlfriend likes to not let me sleep much during the week (she's bipolar II and is usually in some sort of hypomanic state where she doesn't go to bed til 5am); I usually get about 5-6 hours a night, but can get upwards of 12 hours on weekends.
I try to stick to 5 hours of sleep a night.
Kind of hard though when someone in the house snores loud enough to wake the friggin' dead.
I sleep about 7 hours at normal days, and at the weekends it can be very different.
But almost always 9+
work nights, 6 - 7
weekends. 10+
If I stay up Friday night to exhaustion, I'm consistently going lucid Saturday morning after about 5 - 6 hours. It's worked the past 5 weeks in a row.
I go to be at 10 and i wake up at 6:15 on week days and about 8-8:30 on weekend so most days i get 8 hours but on weekends i get more like 10-10.5
Schoolnights: 4-5
Weekends: 6-9
I usually only get about 7 hours of sleep. But the nights that I had good lucid dreams, I often have had nine or more hours. For me, the more sleep, the better chances for a good night of dreaming.
I sleep around 8 hours, sometimes on weekends it can be more. But If I wake up I find it really hard to get back to sleep.
Lately 6-7 hours because I like staying up late. But I still have a great ld success rate without much effort.
One weekends I might sleep 8-10 especially if a good dream came along :D
