Alright, I just posted this last night and I've already gotten 16 responses, so I'm pretty pleased about that. Keep 'em coming! Females, lefties, and "naturals" are especially encouraged to participate. |

Hey guys. I have created a pretty brief online survey, the primary goals of which are to investigate the correlations between lucid dreaming frequency & gender as well as lucid dreaming frequency & handedness. A small number of other, unrelated factors are explored as well. It should take about 5 minutes to complete, 10 at the most. I will be collecting data for one month and the results will ultimately be posted in the Research Team forum. It is anonymous and confidential. Also, feel free to skip any question for any reason (although ideally I'd prefer if you didn't ). Females and lefties are especially encouraged to participate!! |

I'm another "natural" who is a female and lefty. I took the survey yesterday. I hope it helps. |

ha I had to check for the broom, well im a lefty for everything. |

I'm a righty female. My first lucid dream was natural, that's how I found out about it! That was two years ago and I had my second good one was a couple of nights ago... hoping for more sometime within the next decade haha |

Thanks to everyone who has participated so far! As I write this I've already gotten 42 responses in only about 36 hours, which is way better than I could have hoped for. I still need more, though! If I keep getting responses at this rate, I might shell out another $25 to buy another 100 responses (this website charges 25 cents per "credit," aka response). That would put me at a maximum of 220, which would be awesome. |

I'm a right-y natural female. Liked how easy this was to do. Some lucid research that has been done on this site had been really difficult ot participate in or complete. |

Hey guys, just a bump to hopefully get more participants . I've got 53 completed now, keep 'em coming. |

im anooother natural, lefty female, I took the survey earlier today. hope that helped! |

Hey DuB, just did your survey. I'm a male, righty, natural. Hope I don't ruin any hypotheses! Your experiment is definitely related to the one I'm running at http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=54033. I'd be very interested to see the results, but as my thesis is due in a couple of weeks, I cannot wait until early May. Have you found any correlations between handedness and lucid dreaming frequency or naturalness thus far? If so, how strong, and how many participants? |
|
I haven't run any statistical tests on the data yet. All I've done at this point is sort of eyeball the responses to see how many respondents were lefties vs righties, males vs females, etc. (On a side note, the responses for the "deepness of sleep" and "hours of sleep" questions are forming perfect, textbook "bell curve" distributions - I find this strangely pleasing . Most of the others are not so pretty, though.) |
|
Done. A male, right handed natural. This said, I am Autistic, so I may trash your stats! |

Thanks to everyone who participated. I stopped collecting data yesterday afternoon after receiving a total of 120 responses. I've finished analyzing the data and the results are discussed in some detail at this thread in the Research Team forum: |
