If the coffee is preventing you from getting to sleep then it is an issue. If it is not it may very well help.
Caffeine may help to engage the conscious mind while at rest.

Well i should be able to nod off to sleep no problems even with the coffee going on, and i was thinking the same that it could trigger consciousness in the dream, or better yet, keep my mind awake and bring me to sleep paralysis!

Thanks for the help guys, any other opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok well, that changed my views of what SP is, i always saw it as your body falling asleep before your mind. Don't think it's gonna have any effect on that now...

Well, i come back with news...I think the coffee stuffed around with my dreaming because i cannot remember a thing.

No, you probably aren't going to lucid dream until about 4 in the morning at the earliest. The caffeine will be out of your system by then, that stuff gets metabolized very quickly.

      Smile Hmm

Well, years ago I remember falling asleep soon after massive consumptions of caffiene. About a hole pot, I was younger then so it was long ago.
But I remember it well. I wasn't sleep long enough to be in REM but I was letting my thoughts flow falling asleep and...
I began a flashback that happened early. Probably my subconcious talking.
I was playing with a bottle with bees in it that day killing them. And for somereason I imagined they came out.
It was intense when they did. My heart began pounding and I woke up from my daydream I guess.

No. I'm pretty sure it helps your consious be more aware. For some poeple like me it helps me go to sleep. Otherwise my mind races and I wake up sometimes. ADHD? Probably.
I'm thinking about conducting a study. I need caffiene pills or something, instant coffee...
Before and after 6 hours of sleep.
Its one of the drugs that help with awareness, it depends on the person though.

Coffee definitely helps me to lucid dream. In February I had two Brawndos before going to bed and I naturally had a really vivid LD. In fact it was the one in which I completed the Task of the Month. When I woke up in the morning I was still jittery from all the caffeine in my system.

I dunno, the coffee keeps me to awake, but what i will try, is having some form of caffeine (energy drink most likely) now, so that by 10-11oclock, it should all be out of my system making me feel tired as anything.
