Really weird dream. Should have gone lucid!

So I was finally able to try out My new method (in attaining lucidity

under "My new method") http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=55626 and I having only one lucid dream I before missed out. It could have worked. heres what happened.\

So a while into a really long dream there were these people in a dark room are hiding from someone and this magical dude turns to my mom and puts his hand out. This weird (trippy) figure appeared between his hand and my mom. The figure was in the trippy video I watched during my WBTB (part of my method) so it should have been a dream sign or hint that im dreaming. Anyway he makes my mom fall asleep. Me, the dude, and my mom are transported into my moms dream. My mom askes if this is a dream and the dude says its better and that its a lucid dream. So my mom said she would try screeming, but she didnt because she was shy so we told her to do it again and she yelled at this girl accross the mall(where we were) then i told my mom to change the song that was playing in the store. she tried but only went to static. So I asked if I culd try it was hard but after some concetration I changed it to the song that goes "I want to rock and roll all night, and pary every day." I realized that I don't like that song much so I changed it again this time with much more ease. I changed it to "rock and roll" by Led Zeppilin. A music video came on and I thought I had seen it before (mabey in another dream) even though its not the real one. Anyway I told my mom that I was exited that I could practice controlling my dreams in her lucid dream. I still thought I was awake and wasn't dreaming. Then I decided it would be a good Idea to do a reality check, but right before I relized it was a dream my dream ended. I sat in bed and still did'nt realize that it had been a dream. Then I finally got it but by that time I had fallin back to sleep and was lightly dreaming about writing the dream down in my dream journal. Then I realize that that is a dream but instead of going lucid I wake myself up to write down the dream.

How could I not have gone lucid :P . I almost did twice. At least I know that

my new method works. Next time I will try to look out for the things I see in

the videos (expecially the one I saw in my dream today) as a dream sign for

that night and it should work fine. :banana:
