sleeping problems
One of my friends is always bitching about how tired he is but he cant sleep good. He just cant sleep well for no aparent reason. i told him go to the doctor and get some sleeping medicine prescibed. he doesnt wanna do that. does anyone know any thing he can do to be able to sleep?

He's smart to not want to just "fix it" with a pill. He should try natural methods first.
Is he physically active? Does he get enough excercise?
How about diet? Is it well balanced, with a good portion of raw foods,
fruits, veggies, nuts, etc.?
Psychological makeup: is he hyperactive? Does he worry a lot?
Maybe he would benefit from relaxation techniques and meditation.

That's a fairly well-known problem called insomnia.
Tell him that if he wants to be a bitch and not go to the doctor, then he had better deal with it and stop complaining.
Also, and I know it may sound weird, something that worked for a friend of mine (he used pills so much that they stopped effecting him) is he stayed up for 3 days straight (yes, 72 hours in a row!) and of course by that time he was pretty tired. He had no trouble falling asleep for a week after that!
Meditation also helps.

im going to agree with pubbles....my sleep patterns are so messed up now. i plan to pull an all-nighter.

Yeah, I pull an all-nighter every time I mess up my sleep schedule. I'd also consider telling him about melatonin. It's not a perscription medicine, and it works fairly well. Just don't use it too frequently, you adjust over time to it and it loses effectiveness. Now for the normal tips that you hear everywhere: Try doing excersize before bed. It's free, and effective as well. Also, make sure you keep a fairly regular sleep schedule. Go to bed at the same time, wake up at the same time(s).
