      cannabis

This must have been asked many times, but do people who smoke cannabis have as vivid dreams as I do?

I seem to have a couple a night at least and I tend to wake up (kind of) looking around my room (I am still dreaming but my eyes are open and I see things that are not there)

This is very regular, I would like to talk to somebody who is the same.

Yeah I have very vivid dreams on weed.. first I thought it wasn't possible to remember your deams when you smoked, but actually its just the same as during normal state, you just need to not to be too lazy to start writing them down :p

Most people who smoke don't have any dreamrecall at all thouigh..

Thats what I've read about smoking before sleeping, it usually kills recall. You guys must be rigged up backwards or something.

Agreed. Cannabis has a strong negative effect on memory. I have used it regularly many years ago and during that time I never dreamed and even after I stopped taking it, it took a long time for me to recall dreams again. The same applies to alcohol. Alcohol is pure poison for the memory.

I seem to have vivid dreams after consuming alcohol, but the problem is remembering everything, as they seem to last forever in my case. right about now, I am pissed, so fingers crossed - my friends.

As the pattern gets more intricate and subtle, being swept along is no longer enough.

I had several from psychedelics long-term effects and now consider Cannabis a brake of personal development... but sure, everyone needs a break now and then.

You can learn how to remember ^^ just like you can learn how to remember dreams.. theres even people who specificaly only use weed for its enthogenic uses, like meditation for example. Sure weed can make you feel good, but theres more to it.. (look at its medical uses for example, they even use it for alzheimer, it stimulates braincell growth..). But, to be honest, usually weed gets abused for its recreational uses by people like me so I wouldn't recommend it

I'm keeping a dream journal, and now I can remember dreams even when I'm high or have been high, it doesn't really matter. Before I couldn't remember dreams at all, like, very rarely. But now that I'm using a dream journal dream recall is pretty steady no matter what I did last night

I am a daily marijuana user and I have still been able to dramatically increase my dream recall from night to night, plus I even had my first lucid dream this week. But, I seem to react differently to weed than most. Every day I use a small amount in a vaporizer so it doesn't bother my lungs, and then I work out and listen to music! It's like coffee to me, I want to do stuff and can't sit still. Also, if I don't smoke I get migraines constantly. The only other thing that works for preventing my migraines is anti-depressants, and I hate those. So I'm kind of a medicinal/recreational user, hehe....

It also depends on the plant material. Cannabis is not just Cannabis.

Well I used to smoke it in my teen years. And sometimes I could recall dreams. And once I actually recalled a Lucid on it. But for the most part it ended up completely killing all recall for me.
