Meh.. I don't know from personal experience, but I remember some people saying it was harder. :hrm:
who knows... maybe it is easier... But you wont remember what you did... Short term memory is greatly affected under the influence of THC. All you pot heads know that!!!
we do? :?: i didn't.
just playing.
Maybe you forgot :DQuote:

I ehard it messes up the recall and when I stopped smoking pot I started having lots of lucid dreams. coincidence maybe.[/quote]
The properites of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) do not effect the production of acetylcholine or, at least, dramatically effect the process of falling asleep.
The most active receptors of THC are within the hippocampus which is where memory is stored. Activity within the hippocampus with THC will produced sporadic dreaming, but would most likely not help with much else other than that. So, you'll dream as though you're projecting your sporadic, short attention spanned, thoughts.
Apparently THC also has effects on the internal chemical called anadamide, but I have yet to find much more information on that..
Hope that was slightly enlightening.. *Wishes he knew more about anadamide*
On that note... What other drugs (perscription or non) affect the dreaming process??
I am currently on the anti-depressant "Paxil" which is a "Selective Seretonin Reuptake Inhibitor"... It changes thought patterns. Does anyone know if dreaming is affected by this?
O'nus i found this quite interesting , kind of what you were talking about..
Δ9-Tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) is known to be the active ingredient in marijuana, and is also found in minute quantities in the cacao bean, and ultimately chocolate.
Studies are under way to understand what role anandamide plays in human behavior, such as eating and sleep patterns, and the part it plays in pain relief.
Yes, I was wishing they would be more elaborate over the details, I supposed they were not completed.. until I looked into some of the resources I use for study and research.Quote:

I came across this which I am now in the middle of reading, so I will share it with you all and then give my own synopsis (as I know it is lengthy and rather intimidating to read..).
Reversal of Dopamine D2 Receptor Responses by an Anandamide Transport Inhibitor
As for the effects of other drugs and sleep, just about every drug and nutrient has an essential effect on sleep. Keep an eye out for the upcoming Pharmaceutical Tutorial by Howetzer and Seeker (I believe..). I will work on my own short little tutorial that I could share, originally just for own personal use of study, but of course, I will share - it's the best way to learn. :D
~
from my experience:
antipsychotics/neuroleptiocs kill dream recall almost 100%
SSRI give me nightmares
SSNRI gave me the most vivid lucid dreams in the world!!
opiates kill your dreams
amphetamines you have no dream cos you cant sleep :P
benzos kill your dreams
weed makes you dream heaps but forget it all in one second
hey, in my personal opinion being a weed smoker it kind of does affect your dreams beoz it you sleep stoned i've noticed that your dreams are all cluttered and mixed together, all warped and its also harder to do dream recalls, becoz things aren't clear but it isn't always that way,
becoz somenights i have had the most vivid, realistic dreams that arn't far from being LUCID dreams but upon wakening you only remember the highlights of the dream.
But everybody is different. SORRY THE LONG POST.....4GIVE ME
hmmm that makes sense all my pot dreams are like that. In the morning when I go to write down my dream all I can remember are a few tiny pieces of what feels like loads of short dreams.Quote:
