Finally...
Hey Dreamviews, I had a lucid dream last night. It wasn't as satisfying as I would have liked it to have been, but w/e. It was my first one since my last post ( a long time ago).
Ummm....as far as I can remember it was a strange dream. I went to sleep really tired. THe first part my body felt really weird. I thought I was one drugs. I think because of the physical sensations I was semi-aware I was dreaming the majority of the dream. The other parts of my dream included my cat turning into a bunch of cats (lol) and missing the bus and running after it or something.
While I was on the sidewalk I realized I was in a dream. Immediately I got to thinking "oh crap I'm finally in a dream I gotta do something." So i thought about what it was I wanted to do when i LD'd (involves finding my 'Dream Remote Control'). So I turned around and tried to imagine a cupboard behind me. THen I closed my eyes and tried to really visualize it. I felt a spinning sensation and figured "good I'm dream spinning to my place" but I never went anywhere. When I opened my eyes I was back in my room. I closed my eyes and went back to sleep.
So, I think it's good that I got a LD. But it's been so long that I started giving up hope. I haven't been writing in my DJ (although i ususally remember a lot of my dreams, but only during the night).
How important is reality checking? I don't really do it that often. Should I? Will that really help my chances of LDing?

Nice one Sliver! You got your first Lucid Dream, this is very good. Now you know how you feel to be lucid, so now you can feel free to try out more techniques and methods, but only if you're relaxed about it! :D
Reality Checking is about 25% very important in Lucid Dreams, some people (like me) just seem to know they're dreaming. Unless you're fixing them to Dream Signs, they're very popular, but not to some people. To many, this requires experimentation.
