I was reading one of my old dream journal logs, and I think this is my dream guide?

" I took a nap today and before I was asleep I kept repeating in my head “I am dreaming”, to see if I would go lucid. When I got into the dream I was standing next to a cage like fence that had a certain part extended for some animal looking things, they were kind of like baby lions or something like that. I was standing there with some other people watching what seemed to be like a baseball game or some other sport. We were all looking at the animals and making comments on their behavior, and what they were doing. One of the little animals “summoned” some thing that looked like bottle caps or something, I say summoned cause one of the people there was saying something like “How did those get there? What did he do summon them?” Needless to say the animal got scared of the little bottle cap like things and began growing and jumping at them, and started barking at them. Then the other animals joined it, and the people next to me were making more jokes like “The first one over there is a trend setter” etc. Then one man asked me “Whatever happened to asking yourself if you’re dreaming?” and I replied “Eh.. I’ll do it later I wanna watch the game.” Then I woke up…. "

I sound so smart when I'm half asleep, but not smart enough to realize this person might have been my dream guide??

It could have been, however it may have been a normal dream character that was standing there and heard you asking yourself if you were dreaming. One way to possibly find out if he was your dream guide is to see if he is a recurring DC. Also you could try this tutorial (http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=29192).
