Existence as Dream

Good afternoon , guys and girls. I've just surfed the Internet on Omikron : The Nomad Soul and an ideea just came to my mind and I would want your opinion on this , what you think about it :

What if we are just a dream of another being from another reality and he maintain this illusion through strong methods ? Is possible ? How you will react if will be true ?

That is a nice thought?..:roll:. But how do you explain the suffering people go through before they finally die like cancer patients...:P. Same way of dying dreamt by different beings? Hardly humane beings if this were true..:(. I did have this notion before that someone or something is playing a joke on all of us but I think it's safer/saner not to know the truth....:P. Even if it's true that we are dream characters, there's nothing we can do about it can we?
