Question How Many Female Lucid Dreamers Are There?

This one's for the ladies! I've always wanted to know if there were any girls into lucid dreaming. When I told my girlfriend about the subject she dismissed it as pointless. I would like to know how many there are.

Post a reply if you are a female lucid dreamer. If you like, you may post how many you've had or any other information about yourself you think is appropriate. TAKE IT AWAY GIRLS! hehehe

Lucid female, right here. Why do you ask? I'm pretty sure gender has little to do with one's interest in lucid dreaming.

Yeah, I definitely don't think gender has anything to do with it. My boyfriend dismisses it as well, and I wish I could get him interested in it because it would help me with my own progression.

I've had 19 total, 16 of them since 2008 began.
My mom and my sister are both very into dreaming and lucid dreaming, too. My sister is a natural at LD and WILD, my mom sometimes has DILDs. My brother never remembers his dreams, but my dad said he had lucids when he was little. That's about it in my family, though. I don't have any friends who can LD, except one friend (female) who when I mentioned it, said "Yea I hate those kinds of dreams!" and we dropped the subject.

So from my personal experience the females are more likely to LD, but I know more and am closer to (meaning comfortable talking about LDing w/ them) more women than men anyway so it's completely biased.

I agree, gender has nothing to do with it.

I'm just getting into it but I don't see myself stopping any time soon. I've always been into things like this.

My parents remember their dreams, but I haven't in a long time until now. I know my mom could benefit from LD, but she has too many scary nightmares and doesn't like to think about dreams, and my dad is against anything "unnatural" (*rolls eyes*) so...

DV is all I have. =P

Well, I don't really talk about LDing much with my friends, mostly because I get funny looks for even being able to remember my dreams.
In fact, the only person I've ever really talked about it with is a guy, and he introduced me to this site.

But yes, I'm a girl, and yes, I LD, a little. I want to do it more; I find it fascinating. My sister is into drugs and drinking, mostly for the same kind of experiences I can get through dreams without harming myself. =D

Hey there! I've actually only had 2 lucid dreams (that I can remember), and they both were about 2 seconds, so that doesn't count.

I don't believe gender has anything to do with lucid dreaming. Then again, maybe it does. Aren't female and male brains a bit different from each other?

It does seem there are more male posters on this forum than female ones.
Maybe that's what prompted the question.

I've LD'd since I was young, but just not very frequently. I have gotten back into it in the last few years though. Can't remember if an LD made me think about it, or if I thought about it and then had an LD.

The only other LDers I know are male. I don't know any females into it in my little corner of the world. Most females in my family are big dreamers though, but I'm not sure if any of them have had or recognized having a lucid dream. My mom was pretty talented with OBE's.

Still a wannabe LDr but, yeah, female.
I'd never heard about LD until a couple of weeks ago, but always had a blast with my non-lucids.

22 years of solid lucid dreaming here, natural at it.

When I told my boyfriend about it he was pretty supportive.. when I told my grandmother she thought I was losing it and formed an intervention. It was grade-A bullox if you ask me.

I'm a female lucid dreamer! I haven't discussed lucid dreaming with that many of my female friends, but I know one is interested in it.

Oh, and I've had over 7000 lucid dreams.

      Talking

I know I'm not female but I just wanted to say a few things

I think there is about the same amount of female/male lucid dreamers but theres a whole load of other factors that could seemingly make it swing one way or another, such as if females/males in general post more then there counterparts.. Then again my pointless ramblings are pointless ramblings and I'm sorry to say I haven't been here long enough to confirm many things..

Also I think you should make this into a survey, I think the results might be surprising

A poll or survey would be interesting.

Heya. I have LDs every night, and at least a few girls I know are interested in LDing, although I'm the only one I know IRL who is adept at it.

I'm a female lucid dreamer and I absolutely love it! To me, it's nothing scary to explore the inner realms of the mind, it's fascinating. I've only had 6 D.I.L.D.'s my entire life, and I'm trying to gain more experience and control over my mind and body so that I can experience more. I love lucid dreaming! What a cool escape from this boring world called reality? I mean you can have fun in reality, but you can't fly there, can you? Yeah, my Dad listens to me talk about lucidity but his eyes say "That's the devils work at hand", and my Mom just outright thinks it's weird and actually told me she's going to talk to her doctor about it, because she thinks it's a form of craziness. Great...my parents think I'm crazy lol. But my friend get all weirded out because they think it's completely abnormal and that it's too far over the edge. Oh well, I still have this forum and I approve so I say it's still a go.

Oh and if you or anyone else wants to check out my thread about the experience of sleep paralysis, here's the link.

      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=60446

I'd love to hear more especially from the girls, since most girls freak out when I tell them I've experienced a lucid dream...lol.
