I noticed one time I had a LD as I started to wake up it got darker and darker in the room. I even tried to turn on some lights but they did not help. It always seems to do that right before I wake up.
Although one time in a LD it was dark and I just made light appear. I am not sure if it the dream taking control or just me waking up.
A wise forum member here hit on the key.
Say loudly and clearly:
Increase lucidity!
or Increase brightness!
or Extend lucidity!
Always works for me!
Give it a try :)
ususally AMBIENT light is associated with lucid dreaming
but as seeker said... just yell a bunch of shit...it works. or i've seen people talk about rubbing hands together...or brushing your hands across the grass...for nerve sensation, to make you more aware.
