Same dream, good or bad?
Hi Everyone,
For three consecutive nights, I've had (or remember) 4 dreams, out of which 3 involve chasing. Either I chase, or am being chased. I am guessing I could give an auto-suggestion like, "If I am being chased, it must be a dream" to make the dream lucid? Will this work?
Please give your advice.

Sounds like a good route to take to me. Seems like being chased is a dream sign to you, and you've already realized that, so all you need to do now is recognize it when it happens.

yeah exactly, this may be a "Dreamsign" for you. In real life, whenever you think about this idea or see someone running or something, do an RC. And yes, autosuggestion both before sleep and during the day is a good idea.

Usually reoccurring dreams have a deeper meaning to people than normal dreams. For some, it's as if their dreaming mind really wants to let the waking mind know what it's worrying about! Of course, everyone is different.
I'd see if this chase theme continues. Reality check whenever you think about chasing, metaphorically or physically. It helps to focus on the reoccurring dream just after you have it. As you write it down, tell yourself where you should have first gotten the idea it was a dream, then tell yourself how you would've reality check, and how the reality check would prove you are dreaming. Then go back to sleep. By practicing these thoughts, you are sure to catch a chase dream in your next REM period!

That is exactly how I've become lucid in many dreams. I still haven't got lucid from chase dreams, but I will have dreams about bootcamp. I usually instantly become lucid from them.

Thanks, guys. So I take it I should give auto-suggestions (concerning chasing) before going to sleep, would that be enough?

I would do an auto-suggestion to remember my dreams before sleeping, then during a WBTB session or just when I wake in the night I would then use auto-suggestion to help with your goal.

Just remind yourself as often as possible to ask yourself if you are dreaming whenever you are being chased. And I agree about the added significance of repeating dreams. Your subconscious is asking you to deal with something. If it were me once I became lucid I would ask whatever is chasing me "Why am I running from you?" Or something like that.
