Intoxicated lucid dreams
Has anyone ever been drunk and had a lucid dream? Or baked?
Just wondering how it might affect it..positively or negatively..or if it is even possible to lucid dream while intoxicated..
I seem to be able to slip right into SP when im high and go to bed, and I can easily completely forget about my body and any senses attached to it, and get the floating feeling quite easily too.
Does marijuana or alcohol make it harder to lucid dream?
I would guess alcohol does, especially if your wasted, but weed im not too sure about.
Ive been experimenting with lucid dreaming for a short while, and most of the time im either still baked or sometimes even still drunk when i go to sleep, but tonight i havnt blazed or drank anything alcoholic (ok fine I had one beer...totally doesnt count), and im going to see if it makes a difference.
Im kinda tired and im off to bed soon, so first im trying to slip straight into a lucid dream. Ill be trying Adams WILD technique with some of my own variations that ive been experimenting with for a little while. Then if that doesnt work, or if I just fall asleep, Ill be setting my alarm to try a WBTB WILD. I've never fully tried to have a lucid dream before, like 100% been fully motivated and 100% put everything i have at it, until tonight, so it should be fun. First real attempt :)
So..any thoughts on intoxication in relation to lucid dreaming?
Oh and also..i have absolutely no problem remembering my dreams when I go to sleep high. I always remember my dreams if I WBTB, whether im high or not. I know for a fact weed affects your memory, from personal experiences, but it seems to make no difference to my dream recall at all.

I think it would be more difficult to become lucid in a dream while intoxicated. I'm pretty sure your dream phases get screwed up anyway so you might even miss out on most of your REM.

I sometimes have to take Valium (under the name Vival), which is the closest I'll get to being intoxicated in any way. Even after being given so much that I couldn't stand up, I still had lucid dreams after falling asleep, though it killed most of my dream recall.

there's something about the THC in marijuana that actually supresses the REM period of your sleep making it harder to dream but i still dream when i WBTB

I've had plenty of lucid dreams after a night of drinking, in fact my first good one was on a weekend after an 8 hour party.
