      Best book about lucid dreaming?

      I want to just know what the general public thinks the best, meaning most insightful, helpful, and I guess entertaining book there is regarding dreaming and lucid dreaming.

      I have been looking some up and found a real lot and can't really figure out which one would be best to at least start with.

      Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming - Stephen Laberge
      Conscious Dreaming - Robert Moss
      Dreamgates - Robert Moss
      Dreaming While Awake - Arnold Mindell
      Journeys Out of the Body - Robert Monroe
      Adventures Beyond the Body - William Buhlman

      There are lots more than I expected

      If you read all the tutorials on this site, you will basically have read the book of Stephan Laberge, or any book out there about lucid dreaming.

      The books of Carlos Castaneda however, take dreaming to a whole new level, it's like he's in a completely different league. Some techniques Stephen Laberge talks about are even based on the books of Carlos Castaneda. The art of dreaming is one of his books that talks about lucid dreaming.

      But he won't be reading his experiences, his advise, or the experience of others that are published. Even if he reads the tutorials, he won't be reading what's coming from him.

      I've got this book by Stephen called Lucid Dreaming: The Power of Being Awake & Aware in your dreams. It's pretty good, but I haven't read the more recommend book of his.

      Soooo true about the experiences. That's a very special part of this book and others.

      Don't feel you need to buy a book. I've never bought or read a lucid dreaming book; however I've read a lot of information around here and it's helped just as much as those books would.

      Just look around the tutorials, find a technique that suits you, and you'll be good.

      But if you really want to buy a book, I'd say Stephen Laberge. Most people like his writing.
