      Extremely ANNOYING problem... *sigh*

      Hi, it is me again.

Ok, this seems to be a regular occuring problem with my lucid dreams. First off, it didn't happen on my first 3 lucids, but ever since then it has happened with EVERY single one!

Right when I become lucid, no matter what I am doing, my mind fakes a "wake up." No, I do not mean a false awakening (though for the most part that is what it is) But the dream will start fading, and everything starts disapearing. Usually when I "wake up" I am still grogy like in the mornings, and I reach for my recorder and record my dream. Usually then after, I really DO wake up. At first I couldn't recognise the difference, but recently I tried yelling "clarity, NOW!" and all sorts of things, I even shouted, "I know this is a false awakening! I am not waking up! So give me clarity!" and it still didn't work. I forgot to mention, for some reason every time I have the false awakening, I DON'T realise that it is a false awakening...
(And don't tell me to do reality checks every time I wake up. I DO, but my RC's NEVER cary into my dreams. It usually just 'clicks' and I know I am dreaming.)
Another thing I have tried, is when I wake up I just lie still so I go right back into a dream. This works wonders when I really wake up, but with false awakenings, I end up just lying there forever wasting precious dream time. (I also usually just lie there till I really do wake up, and that makes it difficult to descern when I was dreaming)

Soooo, enough of this, anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of this problem?

There was a phase in the beginning where that happened to me constantly. All I Can say is that it is just a phase and it will stop happening once you get more experience with LD's. You can try rubbing your hands together to increase clarity, but I wouldn't expect too many results. Keep going at it and you should eventually realize it's a false awakening.

Rats, well ok thanks. Hope it ends soon, soooo frustrating. (Especially since I only have 1 or 2 LD's a month)
