kicking a shadow person...... Lucid?

I woke after 3 hours to try a WILD. After a half hour I just gave up and rolled onto myside to just go back to regular sleep. While on my side, SP starts. It looks like a strobe light is going on really fast and I see somthing that looked like the little alien E.T. from the movie, and its coming towards me. I then am trying to kick this thing and then I put a blanket over my head and keep thinking "when am I going to enter a Lucid Dream". I then wake up fully and I didnt even have a blanket that I put over my face. The thing is, I forced myself awake of this because it felt like I would have laid there for hours in fear and not get Lucid, I could move but I couldnt get up and out. But all this movement I was doing, was I actually somewhat Lucid? If so, how could I have turned this into a actual Lucid Dream.

I was just reading that many insomniacs, when photographed throughout the night, were actually shown to have slept soundly most of the night, even though they claim not to have gotten a single wink of sleep.. It turns out they were only dreaming that they were awake!

Kind of sounds like what you just went through.

I find that sometimes we tend to get stuck in dreaming maybe as a result of the above ^, but feel/think we are still lying in our beds waiting to dream. Dream content such as your "hiding under your blanket" & feeling of fear seem apparent.

Lucid dreaming seems well within reach for you, just try to move around and get past your fear.

That's some crazy stuff. I used to get his when I would stay up for the whole night, supposedly. Really screwed up stuff happens. Like for instance, this white thing started coming at me, and I was like "WTF!" and threw the covers over my head at 4:00 in the morning, and then I woke up not under the covers and it was 1:00 in the morning.
I need to go to bed. I do WILD, and its nowhere near the screwed up shit that happens when you try to stay up into the early hours of the morning.
