Any tips?
I have been having a few Lucid dreams recently. I've had about three that I can remember, and in two of them I didn't know what a lucid dream was. I thought that I died or something horrible because I was concious in my dreams (I was really confused and scared) so I started panicking and I woke up. So I decided to google it, and I found out that it actually isn't something bad but its something good. Now I'm going to try to get back into lucidity. I read about it and it said that making a dream journal is one of the things that I should do to try and become lucid in my dreams. Is there any other tips that I can use to become lucid in my dreams? I'm actually really excited right now that being conscious and being able to change your dreams is possible. I always thought that it was something you'd see in a cartoon or something.

:welcome:
If you are serious about LDing I suggest you read this:
http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ead.php?t=1518
It has some good basic info for when you first start trying to LD.
Another thing you can do is to start performing RCs, or Reality Checks. This is anything you do to determine if you are awake or dreaming. Here is some info on it:

Other than that I recomend hanging out here, reading the tutorials, and asking if you have any more questions.
Good luck!

Be detailed in your journaling! You could always post a journal on Dreamviews, if you'd like. ;D
If you are nice and details, hopefully some dreamsigns will emerge. These should help you become lucid more often (if you know you dream about your teeth falling out a lot, then you will know you are probably dreaming the next time your teeth fall out. If you didn't know you dream about loose teth a lot, then you'd have no clue that you were dreaming the next time(s) is happens!).
Welcome to Dreamviews, by the way!

:thanks: I read both the tutorials and I'm starting to do reality checks. Even though I've only written one thing so far in my dream diary, I remember a bunch of my previous dreams (though not that vividly anymore). I don't see anything that relates to each other like a dreamsign or dream guide. Does everyone have these in their dreams? Or am I just not paying attention to enough detail?

Not everyone has a dream guide (DG), but pretty much everyone with decent dream recall skill will have a few dream signs (DS) emerge. It can take a while for your DS to become clear, depending on how many dreams you are able to recall in detail. Give it some time and you should start to notice some recurring objects, people, places, or themes.
Good luck!
