      dreaming of past lives?

My last LD has me wondering, does anyone here believe in past lives? I don't know if I do or not, but on a couple of occasions I would swear that a dream I was having must have come from a past life. The last LD I had is a bit perplexing...I was completely lucid...and rode my bike up to someone's house far away and went to their door like I had done it a hundred times before. But one problem...I've never been there before. Ordinarily I wouldn't think this was so strange, but the fact that I was totally lucid and still knew what to do and where to go startles me. Like I knew this man in some other life or something. I've also had frighteningly realistic dreams that take place in a really poor urban neighborhood and I'm a little black boy playing in the street. I feel an intense connection to these dreams that I don't even possess in the one's I have about my own life. Think it's possible? I'd love to hear what you guys think about this...

Hm, thats real interesting! But it's all speculation; since I don't believe in past lives I can't answer that.

Well how are you so sure they're fake? Prove it.

But yeah; the same sorta thing happened to me today in real-life...there I was pushing my brother out of my bedroom window (long story)...when suddenly I had this weird feeling of deja-vu, as if the same thing had happened before. I stopped and said "James...have we ever done this before?". He went silent for a moment and didn't say anything.

It felt like I had this sort of old memory stirring of the same thing happening before... Really odd.

Well I somehow doubt it...Okay, in a Lucid Dream you can do anything right? That's like, infinite possibilites.

So how often do I dream memories of me pushing my brother out the window and pulling his trousers down demanding him to shit out the window as he keeps saying he needs to, and it being that exact time of day with the car and scenery just as it is?...

The possibility of that happening in a dream then in real life, well it's pretty slim I think you'll agree..

Hey, im perfectly willing to believe that it could be a past life, but I havent experienced anything like that except for Deja Vu so im a little skeptical about it, but willing to believe(you've completely disregarded that it could've just been a MAJOR deja vu?)...

I'm reading a book that has a lot of info on astral travel. Like, every flying dream we have isn't acutally a dream... it's astral travel. Hmmm... not sure I believe in astral traveling to past lives (cause I'm pretty sure I don't believe in reincarnation)... but I always have an open mind.

These days I've found it hard to say I don't believe in anything! If someone would have told me about lucid dreaming 4 years ago I don't think I would have believed them. I probably would have thought they just had a really intense dream. But after experiencing this, and having a WILD (which was nuts!) and reading about other's experiences with astral projection and OBEs I have to stop myself when I say "I don't believe in that" because really I guess anythings possible!

Well what more would you expect? If we do have past lives, and we're reborn and all that, in the reborning process we forget everything that's happened before. The most we'll get is a sliver of a thought, nothing vivid, nothing dancing in our face saying \"HI I'M FROM WHEN YOU WERE JULIUS CASEAR\". What if there's some dude monitoring each and every one of us to make sure we don't \"break\" through the past-life barrier?

You experience deja vu as you as sticking noodles up your nostril.
Monitoring Dude: SHIT! SHIT! QUICK SOMEBODY KILL THAT MEMORY BEFORE HE FIGURES OUT HE HAS HAD PAST LIVES AS CAESAR, HITLER, AN SWEDISH WOMAN, A GIRL WHO LIVED IN CANANNADADADA, THOMAS WILSON...and so on.[/b]
...Who cares if we don't know the reason as to why we would not know of these past lives, and be stopped from remembering them. Knowing anything it could be a perfectly good reason that makes absolute sense and shows that it would benefit us all in the long term; yet we're all too stupid (that is, compared to the "higher lifeforms") to understand it.
