Well, congrats on actually managing it |

Yeah... the title really says everything. I have had 35 LD's in 8 months (quite an accomplishment!) but for the last five or so, all I have done is have lucid sex. Now, I'm not downgrading it's qualities, for the people who enjoy it, and who can actually do it without waking up. I have had some good times, but recently, my experiences have been un-realistic and not fun. I had one last night, and it was certainly not worth the effort, especially considering that I always ask permission before I actually have sex. Anyway, I want to accomplish other things, like the Task Of The Month, and I want to ask DC's questions, like what I should title the novel that I am finishing. However, I can't keep my mind of sex, and it's the first thing I think of when I become lucid. It's getting really annoying, not saying that I'm not grateful for the LD's I have. I just want to do other stuff, too. Any tips? |

"In Every Nightmare There Is An EsC"
Basically masturbate, before going to bed. No big deal, after a few days you should probably be getting your mind off it. |
|
hehe If it's your dream why do you have to ask for sex? |
|
Thanks, but actually, my lucid success rate is much higher if I don't masturbate, for some reason. Plus, if you read my "Masturbation Problem" thread in the Help! section, then you would know that I am already trying to cut back on this. I basically need a way to keep my mind off sex in lucid dreams without masturbating before bed. |

I am with Jorge on this one |

Yes, I am very aware that it is more complicated. Also, I usually get beaten up by the girl I am after if I force the issue, it's kinda weird, for sure. I've learned my lesson, so I just ask first. I always get scared, because I think it might be real life for a few seconds. |

well this is pretty cut and dry. Your royally screwing yourself up. IMO there is no "masturbation problem" it is totally natural and in fact if you don't do it than you will find that you can't stop thinking of it. |

Well there are some people who are addicted to sex/masturbation. And there are ways to use psychology to address such problems. So it really depends on the extent of his problem. But if he wants to stop it, regardless of why or how, I think we should try to find constructive ways to help him out. |

in that case... |

I've never, ever had a sex dream. And I like to keep it that way. If your body is experiencing arousal, kill it with masturbation. And I don't know what it's like for sexuals (I'm asexual), but I never think about sex and it's therefore never in the forefront of my mind, and people tend to dream about things they are constantly thinking about right? |

Have you tried autosuggestion? Perhaps try thinking of something you want to try in your next LD, and using autosuggestion to try to remember to do it next time you are lucid. |
