Childhood lucid's
Ive always had vivd dreams and good recall,
I often find myself mixing up dream memories with real ones.
I have had lucid dreams since I was a kid, but they freaked me out and I didnt like them, often I would just start shouting in the dream for help, and wake up with my parents by my side saying they heard me shouting in my sleep, I thuaght of these dreams as nightmares, even though the dream didnt contain any frightning content apart from be knowing it wasen't real.
it has only been recently I have found out I have been lucid dreaming, and also the potential of being aware that I am dreaming.
Did anyone else have many lucid dreams as a child? and does this make me a natural lucid dreamer or do most people have lucids in thier lives without trying to?

I was the same way when I was a child, except I absolutely loves when I got lucids. I never knew just what they were until a few months ago when I began studying them.
I'm not too sure about your other question. I have good dream recall too, but I have extreme difficulty inducing a lucid dream. The only lucids I get anymore are when I become aware inside a dream.

I started with "lucid nightmares" when I was 7 or 8 years old. I didn't love them at all. I started to love them in my adolescence when I started to take control on them.

I have had LD since a child - probably 4 or 5 years old. I do have LD frequently; however I am also unable to induce them. I can only recognize them when I'm in the dream. Once I realize I am dreaming, I can control things. But I sure do wish that I could induce them! Going to start working on that... I have always considered myself a “natural” lucid dreamer.
I think the fact that the majority of my dreams as a child were (and still are) nightmares led me to start becoming lucid.

I can recall lucid dreams from when I was about 3 years old, and older. A lot of them were nightmares, but there were also some that were not nightmares, that I can recall. I took even more interest in them when I was around 7, though I thought that kind of dreams were common, no one had told me otherwise. I started having lucid dreams about once every night when I was 8-9 years old.
It seems to me that those of us who are naturals, and had lucid dreams when we were children, had a lot of nightmares.

I've had lucid dreams for as long as I could remember. It was until I was about 8 years old that I realize I could control what was happening.
I'm almost always aware that I'm dreaming, I just didn't know I could control my dreams until the age of 8.
I guess I fall into the category of lucid dreaming without trying.
I wish I had more of the non-lucid dreams, it's just more exciting when you don't know what will happen.
I don't think I've ever really had a nightmare.

One year, when I was 9 and 10, I had several lucid dreams. There was this villain called "The Shapeshifter," who could take the form of any of my friends. I wrote stories about them, each about 20 pages long, and none were finished. I also added interesting stuff like dream sharing and superpowers that started to last even in waking life.

I used to get lucid dreams as a child, I remember a few of them too and was always fascinated by them. It's only an accident from browsing google that I found out what they were.
